So I'm pretty excited. I have been tossing the idea around of how to go about getting a "NEW" horse trailed. ( Preowned, but new to me ) Well. I really want something with a LQ in it, so that I can do some around the country camping. It; of course, needs to be at least a 2 horse, 3 horse preferred. I have a good portion of cash to put down. But I'll be doing a R-T-O agreement, with legal documents I had a lawyer friend write up for me, and a bank notary stamping the documents after both parties sign.

Anywho, been looking for a couple of weeks. Found some great ones, but most of them sold out from under me or they weren't interested in a RTO agreement. Came across one yesterday, a Adam 2 horse goose neck w/LQ in it. It looks very nice. She's asking 3800 for it. Older lady, bought brand new in 2000. One owner. She's retiring her older gelding and sold her mare so she no longer needs it. Spoke with her on the phone for about an hour yesterday ( she lives about 5.5 hrs from me. So it is drive ) I got a great first impression over the phone. She was very friendly and I'm excited to meet her and check out the trailer.

I did look into the trailer name, wasn't able to find any reviews on them really. I did find that they're resale value looks pretty solid, she's asking a good price from what I can tell. Here are some pictures of it. It looks like there are some 'running rust' colored spots outside. But I'd probably have it painted again down the road once I owned it for a bit. the interior looks pretty great. But the floor/working lights/good tires are my main points.

Any feed back on this trailer brand is appreciated =) Sorry for the book. I'm pretty excited though pending everything is what I want with the trailer.

I have never heard of this brand, but if its a solid trailer good floor no heavy rust and frame underneath is good and solid then I say go for it.

I loved my Adam trailer. Well made and held up. I only got rid of it because I upgraded to a full LQ.

I guess I am a little confused. You are considering this trailer to have a LQ? You do realize that the short wall on that trailer is probably less than 2'.........It is going to be pretty small and cramped since you will have to have saddles and tack in there.

Additionally, the trailer is 15 years old. My concerns would be axles, welds, and floor.

I had a stock type twohorse bp Adams and we loved it.   We see quite a few around this area, and have only heard good things about them.   Funny thing though my husband didn't know that was the trailer brand so he spent all day one day scraping the name off the front!!!!  He thought it was the previous owners name......   hahahahahaha

I am guessing she is thinking of more like a weekender.  I do agree to check out the axles, floor and barrings.  I would take a grease gun and grease the barrings before you leave incase she hasn't in a while.   also check the tires for dryrot.

OP-  you should check out the facebook page 'Horse Trailer Conversion' they have great ideas for small space.

Thanks! I'll def check out that FB page. Yea, sorry by LQ i meant a weekend. My brother has a massive truck, we would probably just throw most of our tack in it instead of in the trailer.

Thanks for pointing out the other stuff to look into. I will definitely check that stuff as well! it's steel with aluminum casing. so rust was/is one of my bigger concerns. I'm sure it will need a little maintenance. However my wonderful father agreed to look over it with me. He has a pretty keen eye for things and knows what he can be fixed, what's worth fixing ect.

I've just NEVER heard of this brand before.

I know age is a factor here: how often do MOST trailers need a floor replacement. Wooden floors are honestly not that expensive if you do it yourself and just put in the labor.. but this one has a steel frame. So I want to make its good.

OHHHH and the matts thats in it. I plan on looking at the flooring underneath them of course. But do matts like that cut down on floor decay??
