Elite Veteran Posts: 1056	anybody had experience with these? i have a three yr old that i noticed a swelling in front of scrotum area which is tender to the touch. never really noticed it before today which was strange. what us the usual cost of surgery on these? do they go away on their own? Undercover Amish Mafia Member Posts: 9992 Location: Kansas	they are umbilical hernias, depending on how large the hole in on the inside.....they normally don't bother the horse. My gelding has one, vet checked it out and said not to worry about it. But surgery could cost anywhere from $500 - $1,200 on it.
