Anyone have a Tarter manual roping chute that you have set up so the heeler can open it? Tarter says you can't do it but there must be a way. We like the chute but this is a bit disappointing.

I'm not familer with the Tarter chutes, but we have a rope strung up on ours that goes above the head of the heeler/hazer, so that all you have to do is pull on the rope and the chute opens

Is the release on that chute on the top or the side?

Can you post a picture of your chute? I have a manual preifert that I set up to open on the heeler side...rope and a pulley. Works great.

Bet the Chute Help Chute, we have had one for about 3 yrs now and love it. All you do is press a button and it opens then closes it self. The heeler can hang the button on their belt loop.
