My barrel horse only does this when I put sport boots on his back legs. He doesn't do it when I polo wrap him..

I have heard of horses that have hock, stifle, sacrum ilium issues do this. also, horses with hoof imbalances. Not just emp, or spinal compression/ inflmatory issues. They position themselves to find comfort. I would still get him vetted. And do a simple neuro test. To be sure. Then see of you can locate any soreness.
