| I really need help deciding between these two. My horse is the definition of a nervous nelly, always on the muscle at races, easily distracted and has a TON of go. I need something to take the edge off and make him relax. I know these products both have the same objective but which one gives the most significant results? |

Location: God's country...aka TEXAS | Jail break doesn't have anything in it for calming, it just soothes the stomach and has electrolytes. Try the Pozzi Relax paste by Oxygen. It calms AND soothes the stomach. |

Location: NC | All the Jailbreak has is electrolytes and prebiotics/probiotics. At least that's all I've seen in the ingredients. I looked up the In the Zone and it has more stomach soothing ingredients. But you could also get a big thing of U7 Gastric Aid and shoot an ounce or two in the mouth awhile before a run and get the same results. And those are geared more towards horses with gastric issues. If ulcers are making him nervous, I would treat them. Then you won't have to worry about that aspect anymore, just do what you can to prevent flair ups.
If you need something with an actual calming effect, I would try the THE calming products or the Pozzi Relax from oxygen. Krystal has really good deals on the THE calming cookies and powder. THE uses L-Tyrosine. I believe the Pozzi relax uses tryptophan I believe.
Just depends on how much/what kind of an effect you want &/or what works for your horse I guess. |

| I will definitely look into the pozzi relax, totally forgot about that one. I heard that can really take the run out of them but it might be just what he needs. |

Location: Piedmont, OK | In the Zone is amazing for keeping one calm and focused without taking any run away from your horse.
In The Zone paste is designed to:
Improved work ethic
Maintain healthy eating habits while at events
Calm while maintaining focus
Increase Sharpness

Gate issues, nervous behavior, pawing give 20cc 1-2 hours out from riding
Young horses when first hauling. Give 20cc before loading in the trailer, 20cc when you arrive, 20cc 2-3 times a day while at the event. This will maintain the gut and reduce stress on the young horse.
Reduction in feed or water, give 40cc, then 4-6 hours later 40cc

As always check with your veterinarian to ensure there are no medical issues causing any of the issues above.

| I've been using In the Zone for two years on same horse. It does nothing for calming her nerves, but she runs harder. It helps nullify the acid production so she feels better, runs harder. |

| I love jailbreak on my mare but she is a deadhead and I give it to her to get her on her toes. |

Location: Kansas | I like In The Zone. Streak got a little more wound up than I want in a horse that's creeping up out of the 4D, so I've given him a half dose of it the last couple runs and he was chilled out and almost napping while we waited for our drag both days. I don't get quite that response with Clifford, who is a lot hotter, but it does seem to help take the edge off. Both of them still run hard so no worries there.
Quietex and SmartCalmUltra paste have also helped with Clifford in the past. I don't notice a big difference between any of the 3 so I just buy whatever I find the best deal on when I get low. |
