Gastrogard is a little more expensive but worth it to me. It's the only thing I found that works on my horse. He is also on Neigh-Lox Advanced as well. He got 28 days of the Gastrogard, a 1/2 a tube a day every day along with the Neigh-Lox Advanced & when finished he remained on the Neigh-Lox Advanced. He will be on that the rest of his life but he went from a horse that reared, lunged, got extremely nervous & on the muscle when going thru the gate to a horse that goes in calm & clocking Div. 1 & 2 times now instead of Div. 3 & 4. :

They are the exact same thing just different labels stuck to the tube. I found that valley vet is the cheapest for ulcergard. It will run you a few bucks cheaper than gastrogard and you wont need a RX. If treating then just give a whole tube daily of ulcergard.

ditto! Just different labeling. You can use 1 whole tube of the Ulcergard and its like a tube of Gastroguard. Vet old me if I had flare ups, go to full ulcergard for 10 days than back to mainenance. He was treated last year with 28 days of Gastroguard with great success.

Gastrogard and Ulcergard are the EXACT same thing. Same dose, same strength, same product. Just labeled different to appease the FDA.

I love THE GastroPLUS! Saw a huge difference with my horse that I suspected ulcers with. Very happy with the results.

I just went all through this with my horse this spring. Gastrogard or Ulcergard are both expensive. But the biggest thing my vet told me was that no matter what I went with it needed to have the 2.28 gram of Omeprazole in it. That is what heals the ulcer and neutralizes the acid. Cox Labs also has a ulcer medication in a tube but now I can't remember what it is called but it has the Omeprazole in it. You might check their web site out.
