I have I injected with some relief but keeps coming back..wondering if he was turned amount for several months would make a difference..any suggestions.

Injections are not a one time thing, sometimes injections only last a month on average will last 3 months
It also depends on what was injected, different steroids actually long term destroy what cartilage is left.
Did you have X-rays? What did the X-rays show?
If you haven't had X-rays, I would start there

I was also told that issues in their heels will look like soreness in the shoulder too...
