Not sure if that is really the headline I was looking for but... What stallions do you think are under estimated or under valued? Whether they are are just young or not marketed enough to be known, I.e. local stallions whose get are doing well in their home state and not really being hauled very far.

His bloodlines are becoming more wanted in the barrel racing world now, he's a nice out cross on firewater flit, Frenchman's guy, Dash ta fame, etc.

Jess Special... Pretty well known in the QH racing circuit, but he is not as known in barrel racing. He's in the new K.I.S.S incentive (Kentucky Indiana Speed Stallions). They have tons of money going out up here in barrel racing. He's sired over $4.5 million on the track, and is one of the fastest sons of Mr Jess Perry. Out of a nice SI98 daughter of Special Effort. He is 18 years old and stands in Indiana for $1,500. Southern Indiana Equine is fantastic to work with. FYI... a Jess Special 4yo won the 1D of one of the incentive shows in the beginning of may.

Also standing at SIE...
First Corona Home...SI103 8 year old son of First Down Dash, out of Corona Cowgirl (Chicks Beduino) - Full sister to Corona Chick (dam of Corona Cartel). He was 3rd on the list of First-Year sires at the end of December 2014. $750 stud fee. K.I.S.S. Enrolled

Nonstop Firewater...Not so 'underestimated' since he sired Sydni Blanchard's 2010 NFR horse, Firewater Five (I.e. Shotgun), who also won every go at Calgary. Firewater Flit x Lying Zelda (Nonstop Jet), you cannot get much nicer personality or conformation than this awesome stallion. He's my favorite. $1,000 stud fee. K.I.S.S Enrolled

This is just my 2 cents. There's a stallion that stands in Alabama that's pretty nice, No Compromises. A woman in my area is really high on them and has ridden several of them. The ones I've seen her ride are 1D horses. Also I always really liked the stallion the Hrdlicka's owned (hope I spelled their name right). I always liked Catman Goldseeker and had planned to breed to him, but I believe he has passed away. He was a super cool dude that was fun to watch. Beautiful, too.

Ole Yeller Nugget standing in Louisiana....live cover only, out of a hand full that have made it to the barrel pen, all are unbelievable nice....one of his get went to the NFR this past yr, also. Very underrated and cheap as you can find!

And of course my guy :) First Down Warrior, but this was his first year standing to the public....every Osceola Warrior I know have been great rodeo mounts.

Fire Easy in Florida. He's had quite a bit of success in Florida but I don't see many of his babies in Texas. I would love to have one!

who's the get/rider that was at the NFR? I just tried to look at his pedigree on all breed and it wasn't listed. Just curious

Maybe underestimated isn't the right term. Maybe under-exposed? Underestimated would be like "Such & such stallion isn't a producer or wont ever be a producer or he isn't bred well enough" or whatever.

It seems like the ones everyone are naming are either A. Young and haven't made a name or B. Well known regionally but owners probably don't advertise much and just haven't had a colt make it big time yet to rocket the name in to the highlights.

Jesses Double Dee in East TX. I grew up watching him compete and be a top 1d horse in Texas, but his owner never promoted him and really stood him to the public until recently, only locals bred to him, but that was it. My buckskin mare is by him, shes a solid 1d horse at 500 horse shows. Her full sister is a proven 1d horse and now owned by Mission Ranch in AR. Wyatte Grace Andrews buckskin mare Jetta is by him also, and Shelly Morgan nearly made the NFR on Jetta before the Andrews bought her. I have been around tons of his babies, and they have all been super nice. My mare is Cruzin Beduino, her full sister is Double Fast Cruzin and Wyatte Graces mare is Double Pay Me.

I love, love, love watching PC Frosty Bid run.  I'm not sure what he has produced and if the Etbaurs are agressive at marketing him, but I know he's a fun one to watch run and I wouldn't mind having a foal by him.

on Catman Goldseeker. A girl here runs two mares by him...both PHENOMINAL, and hard to beat.

LK Watch Me Rock is a Sorrel mare with a blaze face by FWOTR. She did borrow and take a yellow to the finals that was trained by a Louisiana lady..

Reds Western Native has sired some tough ones. He is known locally, but not promoted on a big scale.

I'll second this. I adore your Sunny mare--she looks like a JD clone.  My mare by JD is going to be NICE if I can ever get her to stop hurting herself long enough to get trained.  LOL  I would love to have a barn full of them, minus the aptitude for injury.
