Location: Golden Gulf Coast of Texas | WOW. So sorry. I have been so wrapped up in our flooding that I haven't even watched the news much. We have close to 600 head of cattle on less than 600 acres. Our property flooded from the river and just went down but now its rising again so the neighbors 250+ will have to stay a little longer. Neighbor has been bringing hay for his but we probably wont have much grass left on that section when they leave. Plus we have been trying to work and ship our calves for two months.

I think you guys lucked out and aren't in the middle of the big blob that's circling Shawnee...and I'm headed home because my horses are getting trimmed this afternoon...lol....I'll have to drive John and his tools down to the barn in my 4WD...this should be fun! At least my house is not in a low area... |

Crazy rain this spring...and I sure don't mean to jack the thread...but your mention of re-locating trapped coons caught my attention. It's not legal to do that in Texas. And sadly...I know someone personally that got fined for it. Here's the regulation info. They are a rabies concern and that's why relocation isn't allowed. The person that got caught now practices SSS when they have coon issues. Sad...but that's their best option.
