I use a Professional Choice back brace. Has worked great for me and I have had it for about 5 years now. Use it everyday.

My husband and all his ex-high school football paying buddies swore by the Professional's Choice brace, and now that I need a brace I do, too.

I tried a BOT brack and it definitely helps. Then, my doctor issued me one and holy crap, I do not move in that thing! I would wear the BOT all day, then put the other one on when I rode.

It all depends on what is wrong with your back. I have had spine surgery and with extensive therapy can still ride and do pretty much anything. But I cannot use the Pro choice braces at all. They create too much heat. I use one I bought at the local pharmacy. It's a white velcro one but is like a stretchy mesh material that doesn't create as much heat.
