I currently ride in an Ammerman that I LOVE LOVE LOVE but it's too wide for my horse. He is an appendix so he has some wither but a wide back.

Location: CA | My cactus cj is the only saddle that will fit my big wide mare. It's well built and I like it. I bought a coats with the flex tree recently as a back up hoping that would work as well, but it didn't fit her nearly as well as the cactus cj. Loved the coats otherwise. |

Same for me. I had both a CJ and and a Marlene. Liked both saddles as far as ride and quality, just did not have the fit for my gelding. Would love to have another CJ. |

Location: North Dakota | I like them. My Marlene Mcrae was well made and VERY comfy! When I had it, it fit all the horses I was riding in lessons/as projects (4 or 5) but didn't fit any of my 3 that I actually owned so I sold it. |

We love the quality and the look of our Brandi but its just not wide enough for our current horses. My daughter had a narrower TB type mare that it fit like a glove. SOld her so now the beautiful saddle sits in the barn. |

Location: Lost in the swamps | I had the cactus snow flake racer,( build similar to the earlier charmayne James line) Loved the cushy seat, but the seat rose up high in the front dished in the back, it popped me up rating into a barrel and pulled me back wards coming out of a barrel, as well as, I didn't feel it was as close contact as I would have liked. I ended up selling it, and got me something with a flatter seat which I prefer.
But I wouldn't pass up a marlene McRae.

Location: SE Missouri | I had a plain Cactus barrel racer and it was GREAT (an 06 model I think) I bought it new. Loved the saddle, fit my horse but it was just too big. Several years later I bought a CJ and I love how it fit for me but hated the fit on my horses.. I loved my Marlene McCrae Cactus fit for horses but felt like it rolled my hips open and it was probably a 1/2 size too small. So I sold it, but loved the saddle..
I now have two Crown C and I'm done saddle shopping, love them both and relieved to not have to saddle shop anymore, lol. 10 saddle in 1.5 years is too many lol. |

I loved it too its a beautiful saddle (we had the same one as you) rode awsome just needed more flare around my mares sholder and id of kept it. I cried when i sold it, i really wanted to keep it. It would have been pefrect for my 2 year old but I could not afford a new saddle without letting one go. And it sold first |

Location: WI | I ordered one brand new when they first came out. Beautiful, high quality. That sucker rolled to the left on every single horse, different riders. Loved saddle, but couldn't keep it on decent |
