Tips for avoiding putting too much on and staining jeans? Just any saddle cleaning or darken tips in general would be helpful!

I don't think Miracle Juice stain or darkens the saddles.

Use 100% pure neatsfoot oil wiped lightly on your saddle and set it outside so the sun will shine on both sides ...... may have to turn it as sun moves from east to west ..
It will darken the more times it sits in the sun ... add another light coat of neatsfoot oil till it darkens 2/3rds the amount you want .. it will continue to darken as time passes..
It also depends on what the saddlemaker used to seal in his leather work .. neatsfoot oil will not work on some saddles .. try your breastcollar first ...
Do not use on roughout leather ... it will make it wear until it is shiny ..

Neatsfoot oil will rot stitching on tack over time and attract critters
