 A Gopher's Worst Nightmare

Location: Southern Oregon | I need some options on these two cinches? I have talked to Len about them, but I want so options from people who actually use them. It's a big chunk of money to drop on a cinch if it doesn't work like it is suppose too. I have a VERY round backed mare that we have tried everything with to keep her saddle from rolling. This is one of the last things on my check list. Is to get a neat tight, never tight or possibly a 5 star y cinch? |

Location: where ever my L/Q trl is parked | the price is high cause your buying 2 cinches..... get 2 and sew them together in the middle and you have the same thing...... I almost croak when I pay 70+ for a alpaca or mohair. |

| I guess I don't understand how they work. I just looked them up and the Never Tight Cinch was $389 with the Near Tight one being less. Don't think so! |

Location: Some where I haven't left yet | They are a design similar to the Sports Cincha that BM makes. I've had one of those cincha's for 15 years. They work exactly like they are supposed to... Just make sure the cinch is centered and not too tight on one side vs the other otherwise it will pull the saddle sideways. All horses are made the same on the bottom, just not the same on the top :) Those cinches, last and last. |

Location: Southeast Louisiana | I have a never tight cinch and it's the best money I ever spent. I seriously love the thing. It does exactly what it's supposed to do. I got a saddle that fit very good, just still moved more than I liked on my very catty mare. That cinch holds the saddle in place without having to tighten it too much. It's expensive because it's worth it.
e.t.a.: I have never tried the Near Tight.

| We use the 5 star Y cinch on our horses and they do great. They allow your horse to breath easily and still give that back cinch security and feel. and most of all they last. we still use the first one we purchased and it was purchased in 2011 just keep them clean and they will last forever. |

Location: Fort Worth / Springtown | I don't have one, but it has been next on my list! I will pay that much to try and relieve girth soreness and roll.
Even if you can't afford anything on his website, you shold go read it. I've been reading his website for about 15 years -- I think I remember that he was an engineer - I don't know if that is on his website or he told me -- his thinking is very in depth to the finite details ---- so many saddle makers are not that way - or it's about looks and not fit/function.
I also want his Pocket Racer barrel saddle --- His saddles, too, are expensive, but there is so much more to them than meets the eye. Have you seen the saddle with the cable rigging? The rigging with no D's at all?
