I like My Fitness Pal. You can post all your food, exercise, etc. It will also sync with the fitbit app, the C25K, and I'm sure several others (these are just the ones I use). There are discussion forums you can go to for questions/advice/info as well.

Does it keep track of carbs for you?

Or better yet........ does it reach out and slap bad food or drinks out of your hand before you eat them?

It will count carbs - you can change the settings on what you want it to show.

Unfortunately, it will not slap the bad stuff out of your hand!

Put a lock on the fridge
and borrow your horse's grazing muzzle to wear all the time ..

Limit your fast food purchases to under $5
and drink water instead of soda at all times ..

When you eat at home ...
use a saucer instead of a big platter ..

The Banquet frozen dinners is a good place to start ..
NO ONE CAN EAT MORE THAN ONE ..

I never could figure people going to air conditioned workout places ..
and then having a frozen protein drink that is higher in cals than you burned ...

Get outside and sweat that fat off doing something in the yard ..
try crawling around on the ground .. it is a tremendous workout ..

Join my hay crew .. we will give you your own trailer and truck to load
BY YOURSELF ...
if you work into the night with headlights ..
you can actually see your shadow getting smaller

When you get home .. take a shower ..
and pretend you are younger going honkytonking and
avoid doing dinner so you will look great in those new tight jeans ..

Just crawl into bed and hope you are still alive when you wake up
the next morning ..
lol ..

OH LORDY ... I DO APOLOGIZE ... lol

Just for you here is Moo-obama's new guidelines for the US NAVY ..

The "Go for Green" program operates like a stop light.

Green represents "premium fuel," defined as whole foods and beverages that are the least processed, low in calories, nutrient dense, and aid in muscle recovery and development. This includes fresh vegetables and fruit, leafy green salads, brown or wild rice, oats, quinoa, baked sweet potato fries, whole-grain pasta, nuts, fish, and chicken or turkey breast without the skin. Green-labeled items should comprise at least half of each meal, according to program guidelines.

Yellow represents food and drink with some processing as well as healthy and unhealthy nutrients. These are higher in calories, and lower in vitamins and minerals. This includes salads made with iceberg lettuce, fruit with added sugar or syrups, dried fruit, white rice, pasta, baked French fries, pretzels, baked chips, crackers, whole eggs, chicken or turkey breast with the skin, ham, roast beef, processed deli meats, flavored yogurt, reduced-fat cheese, sports drinks and 2-percent milk. Sailors are advised to carefully choose small portions not to exceed one-third of their plates.

Red represents foods and beverages with the most processing and calories, while lowest in vitamins and minerals. They slow muscle recovery and hinder performance. These include deep fried foods, cream sauces and dressings, most breads and pastries, ground beef, fatty cuts of red meat, beef ribs, pork sausage and bacon, hot dogs, salami, bologna, cheese, ice cream, energy drinks, coffee, whole milk, and sweetened beverages to include juices and sodas. Sailors are advised to rarely choose these, and take them in smaller portions.

I like the FitBit app (if you've got a FitBit), it makes me more mindful of my activity level everyday.  With a desk job, it can be tough to make sure I'm getting in at least 5 miles a day.  I'm a nerd I guess, but I like it when it sends me the little notification that I've met my goal for the day.  I log my weight on it often and catch things before they get out of hand.  I also like the Atkins app to keep an eye on carbs in different foods and make better educated choices.

I'll second myfitnesspal - it will help you track carbs, protein and all that stuff - it's great! and you can look back over the information and see what you've been eating and make necessary changes as needed. You can also track your exercise. The forums are awesome, the success stories are my personal favorites to help keep me motivated!! And there is a recipe forum that has some really great stuff to try. Best of luck to you!!

It's free and no personal information except a user name and email address. I don't have my address or anything on mine.

I have been looking at some apps. Most have a free section and then the more detail tracking is in an upgrade premium package with a charge. Is the one you use all free?
