| What race bred stallions out there have really nice bone on them? I have a Hollywood Dun It/Genuine Doc mare that I am considering breeding next year but her bones are a little on the dainty side. Any suggestions? |

Location: NE Texas | I'd be interested to know what you're defining as "good bone". Do you mean large boned? Good bone is a term that IMO is misused because the size of the bone has nothing to do with the integrity of the bone. |

| I know he isn't all running bred, but Firewater Finale really puts some good bone on his foals. I've raised several by him and they've all had great bone. I bred a daughter of Colonel Hotrodder to him that was very refined, and her foal had good bone and lots of substance.
My Dashin Bye foals have all had great bone, but their momma did too, so I'm not sure if that's typical. But he has a full brother that I think is really being pushed in the barrel world, Sweet First Down. There was recently a thread about him, you might try searching for it.
I wouldn't be afraid to breed to a DTF, as they have shown to hold up. I think there are really quite a few running bred stallions that have good bone. What kind of stud fee, and what incentives are you interested in? That would help people narrow down their suggestions.

And i've stalked a few pics of these yearlings online and DANNNNNNNG do they look good! I'm gonna have to tighten my choke chain on my husband to keep him from taking out a second mortgage to buy the yearling out of the Leaving Memories mare! |

You're very welcome. The TV baby out of her is breath taking, not that the others aren't, but that one draws me in! Hopefully whoever is lucky enough to end up with her (I think it's a her) runs her so we can watch! |

| Just got my Speedhorse and saw Triple Vodka mentioned. Sounds like he's got some good bone and passes it on. He's my first choice for my Chasin Firewater that is pretty refined if I decide to breed her. |
