Location: Cocoa, Florida | The two 14 year olds boys who took a boat offshore Friday are still missing at sea. They left Jupitar Inlet (2 hours south of me) and their boat was found off of Daytona beaches ponce inlet (1 hour north of me) 68 miles offshore and capsized.
A grey engine top and yeti cooler is gone and they believe that's what the boys are/were using as flotation devices as well as the life jackets.
I've prayed everyday for a miracle!!! If anyone finds any of those items missing on the beach contact authorities immediately!

| Prayers for their safety. Joe Nameth is offering $100,000 reward, hopefully the ocean will be covered in boats looking for them. |

| Joe Namath is neighbors to one of the boys, so it's pretty personal for him. I pray that he gets the opportunity to pay the $100K out...I cannot imagine having my 14 year old missing out in the ocean...what a horrifying thing to even think about. |

Forgive my not knowing...but is it common to turn loose two kids under legal driving age in a boat on the ocean? Maybe that's normal? Any rate...I saw a report that they were supposed to go fishing but then told/texted other kids that they were headed to the Bahamas without telling their parents. That seems even less safe! Hope they are found. |

Location: Florida.. | I have a feeling they were supposed to stay in the Inlet which yes some times teens fish in small boats in there.. Id personally not but yes.. I know with the storms theyd not make it to the bahamas in that boat. |

I was wondering the same thing. I don't know all the details of the story. Were they allowed to be out on the boat or was it a joy ride type thing? Hope they are found safe. |

apparently they were not suppose to go into the open sea:
Nick Korniloff, Perry's stepfather, said both boys were experienced boaters and fishermen. He said the family had rules about where Perry could take a boat without adult supervision. "We requested when he was out in the water, that he fish the river and Intracoastal (Waterway)," he said Monday on "New Day" "He could go as far as the rocks and inlet." Perry was told not to go into the ocean unless he was in a bigger boat and had an adult with him, Korniloff said. "We have taught them the respect of Mother Nature, the power of the sea," he said. "They know what the water is all about."

Location: In the Hills of Texas | Dang kids...You can't keep a leash on them. No different then when we were kids and would go trail riding in the woods and were told how far we could go and told not to cross different highways. We also pushed that envelope once in a while.
Prayers... |

| Just read on CNN that they were operating the boat LEGALLY at age 14. The boat was capsized 77 miles out... That seems way further than an inlet. |

Location: SE Louisiana | Something about this is not right. Unless they were totally incompetent, (which by all accounts they were not) It's pretty hard to flip a 19 foot boat. Once in the water they would have stayed with the boat as long as it was floating unless they were killed at the time. I can't quite put my finger on it but part of the story is missing. Wth all the shark attacks up and down the east coast this year I doubt they could live this long in the water... I'd like to see a picture of the boat. |

Location: Florida.. | with storms and the current there its not hard to do.. that size isnt very big and it could have been a flat bottom boat to.... yes the kids down south are born in the water and know it well most anyway.. its like the rodeo kids.. so most know the water but most stay inland without adults.... they may have went aganist the parents wishes.. 14 yr olds do that. |
