Yes, I saw that. But only "certain" ones. The article states that of the 500,000 vehicles involved, only 193,000 have yet to be fixed (which sounds like a recall has been issued in the past?). I haven't found any articles that are specific on the repairs/issues involved. I've never owned a Dodge, but I'm looking to purchase a new-to-me truck and some of the ones I'm interested in fall within the year/model window but I have no way to tell if they're affected. I was hoping some Dodge owners who may have received specific info from the manufacturer could shed some light here.

Is there a place you can put the VIN in and find out if your vehicle is included?

I read that it said they will notify via a letter just like you get when you have a recall. My boyfriend has an 08 3500 and he had a recall having to do with the front end steering a couple years ago. The dealership told him his was fine but he made them replace it anyways while it was under warranty. I would say if you have one that cannot be fixed they will offer to buy it back, but if it's fixed your stuck with it.

My 2500 had a recall a couple of years ago for the same. They replaced the part, but from reading the article it sounds like the earlier recall did not fix the problem

We own three vehicles; a Dodge truck, an old Toyota Corolla and a little Jeep Liberty.  All three of them have a recall on them right now.  I don't have the time to drive them to big town and get that all fixed.  I would have to take three days off to do that.  I am so annoyed.

We have a 2011 and we got the same recall a couple of years ago, but when we took it in they said the parts were on back order and never fixed it.

I have an 08 2500. Whom do I call to get info about whether it was recalled, repaired or eligible. This is interesting cause we just bout it in January and it's made a funny sound in the steering column since right after we bought it
