Location: Somewhere between raising hell and Amazing Grace | Obviously it's all over the news. The best thing to do is call corporate dodge and give them your VIN number. They will run it and tell you if it's on the buy back list. This will escalate the entire process rather then waiting for them to go through the list and send notifications. Once you do that, if yours is on the buy back list, then you just have to sit and wait for them to mail you details. The options are going to be different for each person depending on whether the vehicles are paid off or still financed. Ours IS on the list, has already been confirmed and flagged for notification, and is going to turn into the biggest headache on the planet. We have a 5500 4 door long wheel base. Try finding a replacement for that. Not to mention we have to remove the bed, running boards, and front end bumper prior. But glad it is getting replaced after a two year battle with Corporate.
Another way to check is what I am copying and pasting here:
Find your car's vehicle identification number, which is usually etched in the windshield's lower driver's side corner, and enter it onto NHTSA's VIN search tool vinrcl.safercar.gov/vin/vinLookup. If your vehicle has an open (that is, unfixed) recall under campaign numbers 13V-038, 13V-252, 13V-527 or 13V-529, then it's eligible for these offers. We strongly suggest you get the recall taken care of as soon as possible. |

No. They have to buy back the one we own now. I don't know any details beyond that. I don't know if they just give us money to go buy another, or if they give us credit. We won't know that until we receive the information they are sending us.
This truck is a 2011. It has had a total of 5 recalls. Only one was fixed. One did not need fixed, and the other three they still have not made the part to fix it. The final one was the ball joint that is breaking on other trucks. They have the replacment parts for the 2500 and 3500s but not the 5500s. So rather then keep people waiting, they are buying them back before they break on the highway and they get sued by more people |

We aren't. We have already contacted the dealership to make plans to get another Dodge. Hubby is Active Duty Military. We get to see first hand how Chrysler supports the military so we will stick with them |

That's probably what will happen here, but who knows. Ours is still financed so I am assuming they will send part of the money to the finance company. |

| I work for a company that has 3 Dodge trucks, but I don't know if any of them have ever been recalled. I went on the recall site and typed in the VIN numbers on each truck and it came back a zero. I have tried called the 1-800 number and it says that due to a high call volume to try you call later. My question is should you have gotten a recall notice before all this came out? |

Yes, you would have gotten several recall notices. If you went to the website I posted and put in the vin, it would tell you if it had the recalls. If nothing showed up, then those trucks aren't on the list |

Our daughter had a buyback on a 2007 Dodge for the lemon law. I know they had less then 20,000 miles on it and they really took a hit on it. Good Luck! |

^^^ THIS ....... Unfortunately, if anyone thinks they are going to get rich on this “buy-out”, I think they are mistaken. I have read several news reports and one stated that the COMPANY will set the buy-back price……my son called and said he had talked to his dealer and they thought it would be “Blue Book” price plus “possibly” 10%. Good Luck to all! |

They will base the buy back price on Purchase price minus depreciation.
The key is they set the Depreciable value.

That's the key...they set the depreciation price and it was ridiculous. |

 Can You Hear Me Now?
Location: When you hit the middle of nowhere .. Keep driving | That's what I am scared of Murphy... We have a 2010 and have put a lot of 'extras' into ours since purchasing it used last year. I told the SO we are taking everything out before if it's one of them. I just send him the link and codes to see if it is. We have had issues with ours over the past year, I will be going with a Ford from now on and not listening to his parents. People will get burned on all this... it's not a home free card like some think. |
