Has anyone ever had a horse with PSSM presented as a lameness specific to one leg?

Some pssm horses have recurrent lameness. It is one of about 16 published symptoms. It could be from muscle cramping/tightness in that area. They will show lameness one day then not the next. You may want to have blood drawn to see if muscle enzymes are elevated when horse is showing lameness. Best thing is to regulate their diet and give them daily exercise.

Thanks. We are having some problems with my husband's gelding and really not sure whats going on. Vet was just out again yesterday, did some nerve blocks, x-rays, etc and nothing really is showing up. Has a bit of arthritis in his hocks, but nothing really that should be causing lameness. Have him on bute for the second time and its doing absolutely nothing for him.
I sent in some hair to animal genetics yesterday. Might be something unrelated going on here, but I still suspect he might have some pssm issue as well because he had many of the symptoms- excessive sweating, twitching muscles as if he has flies on him when working, pull back and almost laying down when saddling sometimes. We've had him for years now and seems like most of this just started within the time we moved out of state, not sure if the grass has more sugar here or whats going on.
