| There is a lady who calls this forum the mother ship as many of us met here even though we may not hang around as much as we once did. A lot of you may have been around when I stripped down to my undies to wade through a draw to see if I could drive through it to get my mare to the vet when she was ready to breed to Judge Cash. Other's of you may remember when I lost the mare when her foal was three months old. That baby is now 4 and in June, I nearly lost him to E. Coli. In 1997, I lost the best one I ever owned to it. Thankfully, there are better treatment options now. People I met here, helped make bringing him back not only possible, but he seems better than ever now. SG sent me a product called Full Bucket, both probiotics and a paste for the diarrhea. Of course we had good vet care too. Anyway, just wanted to send a shout out to Dave and Gail and say thanks. Less than two months after coming down with E. Coli, and he looks like this.....

I missed when this happened. Sounds like you had two w/ Ecoli? May I ask how they get it or symptoms ect? Sounds awful. |

I missed when this happened. Sounds like you had two w/ Ecoli? May I ask how they get it or symptoms ect? Sounds awful. This is just a thank you thread . I'll be happy to talk horse health privately or on another thread. Google is an excellent resource as is your vet if you have concerns. This is not something to be diagnosed at home or taken lightly. Considering my cases were 18 years apart and living environments totally different, I doubt they were due to the same cause.
PS: No one missed when it happened, I just didn't talk about it here. I find I feel it best to keep bad things more private until they are resolved.
