Myler makes some nice jointed port bits.   The Petska ported chain is a good option too.

Mike Beers ported chain is good.  I feel like the ported chains sit in the mouth better.

My horse prefers a large port or a hack.

Mine seems to prefer the larger port as well, do you know how the response is different with the chain/port vs twisted/port?

The chain keeps them more bendy, the other seems to stiffen them a bit.  I have a L&W lifter that has a twisted wire + port and it never seems to lay right.

If you could get them to put a chain instead of the twisted wire I would go that route. I was thinking of calling to see if they could do it.

If he seems to respond to that mouthpiece, I would stick with it even if you find different bits with different shanks. I have a gelding that will ride in just about anything as long as it has a dogbone mouthpiece. Anything else he turns into a stiff nut that sucks to ride.

I would love to see other ported bits that people like! I'm always on the hunt for more.
