How many people keep them just to have?If you were lucky enough to win more than one would you just keep them all if you don't use them?

I keep all my prizes, unless it is a duplicate of something I already have or is just not my thing/colors/style. Saddles stay with me though.

I have never won one...but I plan to use them or keep them all in a big room like Bob Avila or Trevor Brazile if I am as lucky. (And as talented.)

I'll say I have yet to win one. Although this year, I am close, and IF I win it, I have a choice if I want to put the extra money toward a saddle, or get a different prize, or just get money. Since it'll be my first, I'd like to get the saddle.

If they don't fit my horse though, I'm not opposed to taking off the fenders and selling the saddle.

My girls have won several, they kept 2 or 3 and have sold the rest.

I have won 4 and have used a couple and have one on display in my house. Howevever, a couple years ago I had everything I owned stolen out of my trailer including the 3 trophy saddles and all my breast collars/bridles. I keep it all, especially now. I worked hard to earn it.

Between my 2 boys they have won 25 saddles. They have used a few of them but the rest are in our house on display. We thought about selling some, but a lot of hard work went into winning those saddles..

I still have all 12 of mine. I ride a few, a couple are in my living room, and the rest are in my Mom and Dad's house. I'm way too sentimental to sell them. Each one is special to me in its own way.

Wow. That turned into a brag session. Lol yes I keep mine. I don't need to say how many I have amassed. But yes , I keep them and think it offensive to sell them.

I have won one. I have thought about selling it as I don't really ride in it much. Hubby says no, you only win your first saddle once. He has his first saddle as well.
Hopefully one day I can add more. I was really looking good for one association this year but after 2 low placings it's pretty much out of my grasp now unless the top two gals stay home for a show. And I don't see that happening lol.

If I ever get lucky enough to win one I would have hubby build me a nice stand for it and be putting that on display in the house. (Most I see here are 14" anyway, and my big booty needs at least a 15".... )

I think it would just depend! I haven't won one and haven't really competed but I have a friend for example, that has 4 or 5 and doesn't use any of them and would like to sell all but one to put towards a new saddle. I can relate and don't like to keep things around that I'm not using! I would probably just keep the most important ones or one that I really liked to use, and sell the rest. I think it just depends on how much they mean to you or how much use you'd really get out of them.

When I win one for the first time, I will let you know!

I'm inclined to think that it most likely wouldn't fit my crazy wide horses, whatever I would win, and I like to think I would keep it on display .... but I HATE clutter, haha. If I have something I can't use or haven't used in a long time, it usually is out the door.

I guess it's your saddle. You won it. You can do whatever you want with it.

I wish I had the problem of wondering what to do with all my trophy saddles. :)

I didn't win squat when I was still riding (if you could even call it that), but I'm not offended by others stating how many saddles they've won. We've had many threads just like this before, without the needless butthurt. Why is this one suddenly different? I thought the "everyone's a winner" and "life's not fair" mentalities were poopooed and celebrated (respectively) here?

We have kept some and sold some.  Two that I liked I put new fenders on to sell them and will display one fender from each on the wall.  They will take a lot less room that way.

I have a friend who won her first and might sell it and keep the fenders.  That seems like the best idea, I hate for anyone not to be able to keep them.
Thank you to everyone who answered.
