| Looking to buy a black widow arena groomer. Has anyone used one, what are your opionions?? |

Location: Cap'n Joan Rotgut.....alberta | i really like them...they used one at our finals this past weekend and it did an amazing job..it levels and fills in the groove around the barrel..........pretty neat gadget........

Location: Roping pen | Don't have one, but just bought a Kiser Speedmaster. Looked into the Black Widow a lot but was concerned, in my hard, hard, black dirt, it would not hold up. It is a long the same lines as the Kiser, (same basic tool usage) but the Kiser weighed 3x what the Black Widow was....and was about 3x the price though.... |

are arena groomers meant to dig deep and break up the hard pan? Or do they just smooth out the lumps and bumbs?
Would you be best to have something to dig deep every now and then and then a groomer to fill in the between time? |

| We used one of the black widows for the first time during the Elite Barrel Race last month in Waco. I was really impressed with the job the Black Widow did. I personally think they are the best arena tools on the market and also think they are very reasonably priced.

We have a TR3. I love that thing, it's very versatile and has tons of different "settings" so you can make it custom for several different jobs. That being said even with the teeth at their lowest it doesn't go deep enough to break through the hard pan. We have to get the big tractor in the arena about 3 times a year to really rip it up.

Location: Penrose , Colorado | we use a Lucus ground hog, it has hyd. rippers that can be used or not but we usually leave them down several inch's, it also has 2 levelers, teeth and a roller. does a great job and 8' one will cost around $3500 |

Ha ha yes that would be the BIG tractor. What are you using there? We just bought a cheap cultivator at an action because I told my husband I wanted to be able to dig up about 8 inches deep. He said it would be chunky but I have a little 4 ft disk and harrow to smooth it up. We had looked at all kinds of groomers online and it shows but I just didn't think they would do what I consider "working the dirt" |

| I talked to Cody their Southern California dealer and he was great!!! I ended up getting the 7 ft one for my arena. His are on sale too so that was a nice little bonus. I don't know where you live but if you are in so cal area you should defiantly talk to him. 559-816-3784 |

We have a TR3 as well that we love. We spent the extra for the longer teeth so we could break up the hard pan.
I think the BW is a great tool as well. As is the GroudHog. |
