Location: Bandera, TX | Cur-ost is great stuff! Just got to second what the above poster stated. I recently purchased a new nebulizer after many hours of searching for one that I could train and treat with. I found one made down in Australia. They now have a dealer here in the states. Medivetequine. They have autologous serum with a 24hr turn around to treat your horses. It can be nebulized! These guys understand racing horses and have a well rounded program to keep horses healthy and winning. But to answer the question for the OP: currently I'm using an MDI of Fluticasone and salmeterol for seasonal allergies. Prior to riding I use the Ultrasonic nebulizer and albuterol. I use the jet insufflation while horse is on the incline treadmill and train by use of intervals. I can add essential oils as I train or while their standing/stretching/cooling out by jet insufflation. |

Depends on what you get. I have a non issue horse that I just started on the Greens. It was $75 for a month, but the two week loading dose takes a months supply. |

Is this stuff really 120 bucks a month? Like Longneck said, depends on what product you need. I have been feeding 3 products since April 1 and once I feed this through I will back down to just 2 products per month. Is it expensive??? Yes. Is it worth it??? I'd pay double if I had to. Saved my horses life, literally, and the improvements just keep coming. You will not need ulcer supp's, joint supp's, pre or pro-biotics. I'm an absolute "supplement" skeptic and bought this product after consulting with Dr. Schell for almost a month. I tried it as a last ditch effort before having to make a really tough decision. Sure am glad I did!!!!
In sharing the information about Cur-Ost with others, there are several other people who are using it as well and their results are no less dramatic. Hopefully Flitastic will come on and share as well. I have never seen a change in a horse like I have with the Cur-Ost product. It literally gets a horse healthy from the inside out through promoting a health inflammatory response and healing the hind gut. It has resolved issues with my horse that I didn't even realize were issues. I don't use the word "miracle" lightly, but it truly is a miracle.

Interesting, just curious. Do they have dealers or is it just sold through the site? |

Location: Oklahoma | I really want to try the cur ost my horse was diagnosed with copd bout four years ago vet had horse on steroids for a month and then small doses of dex everyday I always didn't have the best feeling doing this but I didn't know what else to do to help him and then a year later he gets epm (really bad) and i was told that the epm was causing his respiratory problems bc epm attacks the immune system. Fast forward two more years I felt like my horse was having trouble last summer but he scoped clean and was told I was being paranoid cuz of my problems before well this summer he was worse I had him scoped again clean and no snotty nose or running eyes told same thing again but I went to a different vet they said he doesn't look sick I was adamant bout doing something to test anyway so they did a trachea wash and low and behold bunch of gunk!!! So four years ago is starting all over he was again diagnosed w copd. Bout to the end of my 30 days steroid treatment and supposed to do a recheck and then go from there. I know the vet is gonna tell me that we need to keep him on some kind of steroid But my gut feeling keeps reminding me that I really didn't like this route four years ago that I should try something new and more natural but I don't have a lot of money so I go the cur ost route and doesn't work then I will be back to square one and then I think to give cur ost a try for thirty days and then do the recheck and go from there I may do the recheck first and then the cur ost and recheck the only thing I worry bout recheck is that the vet will want me to go the steroid route and then I'll be second guessing myself all over again! |

Please contact Dr. Schell. You will be glad you did and there will be no need for a recheck. My horse was on 8cc of Ventipulmin daily along with Dex and continued to detiorate. I'm not the only one who has seen the incredible change in a horse with respiratory issues. Even the epm is related, but not in the way you've desribed, but rather due to a hyper active and weakend immune system. I can assure you that if you choose to go this route, you will not regret it! My horse is steroid free, and has been since I stareted the Cur-Ost. He receives no other supplements whatsoever. The first month will be very expensive because you'll need to double dose both the Total Support and the Immune & Repair for the first 14 days, but after that you'll go down to once daily. From the sounds of your horse, you'll need both products on a maintenance level for 90 days in order to get his immune system under control. This will be the best thing you will ever do if you try it. I would advise you to take you horse off of ALL supplements and medications and start the Cur-Ost. Expensive...yes. Worth it.....100% absolutely! There is a post at https://www.secondvet.com/index.php/forum/index regarding respiratory issues. I hope you'll create an account and join in on the discussion! :)

Oh yea, its expensive but my horses RUN better and PLACE better so they pay for it mostly. But I no longer need Previcox, ventipulman, and I'm saving money on feed so its kind of working itself out. Herbie will tell you, I choked first time I saw the price.. They do give little discount if you buy 2 or more. |

unfortunately most of these fads come and go because they are not proven to be effective and have no hard medical positive results.
I will admit I am a hard core pharmaceutical person, and do little in way of health care that is not veterinarian/doctor recommended or studied, with peer reviewed studies that have a positive outcome. However, I feel that I have spent less money over the years and have a tougher individual because of this.

The Curost has been proven and has Hard medical evidence to back it up. Probably why the stuff is so expensive. It costs money to do the research to back up the claims. |
