I've always have a problem getting the sling to lay flush around the ankle. There's always a gap or it pulls the middle ridge over too much if I really pull the sling cradle down and around.

I've always had this issue.  But I dislike professionals Choice so I stick with them.  I think the newer "tough" looking boot has a narrower sling--might look into that.

I used to have that problem, but I can usually get it right after about the fifth try.

Yes. Every horse I use them on and I've tried different sizes, too. This is why I use my CE's typically for general riding and I use Professionals Choice all other times. I only even keep the CE's because I have several pair and I wouldn't be able to get my money out of them to sell them, but I'll not buy any more.

yes and I quit buying them.  The last 2 sets I bought sucked..............
i went with relentless.......velcro is really hard to work for first dozen or more times.....  I still like them better.  I bought some new elites pro choice camo and I'm really liking them now

I have one pai of Pegasus boots that are a little different to put on but do not gap where the bottom strap goes around. If you have them on properly dirt will not get under them. Nice boots.

I had that issue too, but have now switched to Iconoclast.

I bought a set of Classic Equine to try on my horse earlier this year and I did not like them. I tried 2 different sizes and I could not get the darts to line up properly and to sit on the leg properly. I won't be trying them again.

I use the Professional's Choice SMB 3. I like them, but they are getting harder to find. I don't like the Elite and I don't like the SMB 2.

I'm very picky.  :-)    I've been interested to try the Renegade boots but haven't yet.

If you read the instructions, they specifically say not to pull the bottom part down and around like you would the PC sling. You're supposed to pull it straight around.

I prefer the CE boots to PC. I just feel like they fit my horses better. That said, I use both brands.

Iconoclast boots are great. I've never tried CE, but I like them better than the professionals choice.

I thought it was just me. I see so many people using CE that I finally bought a couple of pair. They don't fit anything I own. You can actually hear the slings rubbing together when my good horse walks. I need to sell them and buy another pair of PC.

I hate Classic Equine, probably the worst made of all the boots I've tried. Now you won't catch me in anything but Professional Choice.

I has the same problem. I do not like to take boots off and have dirt in them. I switched to RES boots a couple years ago. No dirt in them ever, and they fit great. I now deal in them, send me a message and I'll make you a deal and I guarantee you will like them!!

Are you all having problems with the Classic Equine LEGACY boots?  I think CE makes a few different kinds, right?

I have Professional Choice and Classic Equine Legacy.  I can't ever get the heel right on the Professional Choice - and it always moves.  I feel the Legacy boots fit way better, and they are a little thicker than the Professional Choice.

Too bulky - don't like the fit.  Polo wraps or relentless boots.

I have this problem with CE... Bought them in every size to try and fix the problem... Still couldn't get them to line up correctly. I tried the PC SMB Elite's and finally found the size my boy wears, but after three runs the stitching fell apart and PC wouldn't replace them...

I finally just went back to my old trusty's.. .my Bar F splint boots from the 90s.

They're an ugly green color but I cover them with boot covers. They fit both my mare and gelding. I haven't ever found dirt in them and they're a breeze to take on and off. never had an injury in them either (knock on wood). I don't like their new style of boots but back in the 90s man... stuff was good!!! LOL

I agree that they don't fit right and my horse even hung his back toe in them and tripped.I won't run barrels in them anymore.

I'm so glad I'm not the only one who loves the old Bar Fs!  I have one set left and I save them for my mud boots because they don't get water logged!
