Location: MN | I know they are all used differently and for different reasons. My question is why would you choose PHT/MagnaCU, one over the other? BOT for what reasoning?
Just interested to hear why you chose one over the other and your experiences with them! THANK YOU!

Location: Central TX | Honestly, I bought the magnetic blanket from Schneider Saddlery for my mare... I can't afford the 500$ blanket although if I could I might have bought one. I feel my blanket does just as good as the others. I am a certified equine massage therapist so I pay close attention to my mares soreness level and what triggers her points, since using the blanket on her she has less soreness in the areas she used to be tense on. I always leave it on her when hauling and standing tied. Seems more relaxed too. On the other hand I do have used BOT hock boots and have not used them since last time I put them on her, she kicked out viciously with those on. Guess I have to get her used to the idea of them...

I could be wrong but I feel like it's how much you're able to spend and if you want a fashionable blanket compared to the plain white with black magnets one.
The PHT blankets use the highest grade bi polar magnets available. I know the other brands do not. Yes, they are expensive but you are paying for the quality of the product. It is not about being a fashionable blanket as compared to a plain white with black magnets. Have you researched the difference? I researched mine before I purchased. I used to use the Norfields magnetic wraps because it was what was in my price range. After reading up on the PHT, I made the educated decision to purchase the magna cu because I wanted something I could use on myself as well as my horses. I wouldn't use a different magnetic brand now knowing what I know. |

Location: Central TX | Wasn't trying to step on any body's feet. And I'm sorry if using the word "fashionable" did that to you. I did research the brands and what they use.. but unfortunately I can't afford those brands currently. So I purchased the Schneider one which for my mare works, thankfully. It's an option to consider for those looking. |

I could just go over to ebay and buy me a Hilason saddle to get the job done instead of spending so much on the one I use too....but it's not really the same thing is it?
It's not just about fashion. It's about function, quality, durability, and the fact that I thoroughly enjoy supporting small business!
I see people every week running sore horses at every jackpot they can find....and still telling the same story about not being able to afford a vet bill, therapy item, better quality feed or hay, and the list goes on. |

Location: Central TX | I guess I can't say enough how using the word "fashionable" wasn't the word necessary to explain my opinion. Thankfully my mare isn't sore :).
To the OP, goodluck in your search. There's many different options for you to research :) |

Thank you... Fashion has nothing to do with this. Schneiders tried to "copy" our design with a made in China product. Key word Tried. This is something Schneiders is known for doing. Copy and make it cheap... |

Location: Where the long tails flow, ND | Here are some comparisons with MagnaCu bell boots and MagnaCu quick wraps. The quick wraps are a week apart. You get what you pay for, just like anything in this world!

That really is the reason I stayed home from a two day barrel race in August. So that I could put the money toward a PHT blanket. Can't wait until it gets here! |

Yep they sure did. From design of the blanket to the circles to the placement. Exact replica except with cheap magnets, no customer support, cheap shell. We have customers that have our original design (white shell with round magnets) that are still using our product today. Still in great shape and have lasted. We changed to Squares and went with a different shell to differentiate ourselves from the "copy cat" blanket. Customers wanted to be able to visually see that they were not using a product that looked like the cheap copy. So that is who we evolved to the "fashionable" blankets. |

It just arrived via UPS! The box was almost completely destroyed, so the UPS guy watched me open it to make sure it wasn't damaged.............thankfully, it looks intact. Excited to get to use it for this weekend. |

Location: In the Hills of Texas | I'm one that has one of the originals and I just washed it the other day and it looks like new. I would put a lightweight blanket over it when I was at shows because the wood walls will snag them as they do blankets. |
