i have an older
(18 yr old
) paint that i am running now most weeks he runs on tuesdays and then either friday or saturday night. he gets good grain pasture and actiflex currently. just had chiro out to adjust him she will see him again in 8 weeks. what else do you do throught the week or before or after shows to help with you oldie but goodies??

I use magnetic therapy and BOT although not religiously. Warm up slow before my workouts/runs and cool down slow as well. Cold hose after a run. Will sometimes use Ice Tight. Mine do get Pentosan injections and do really well on them. For the main part I just try not to over use my older ones and give them a little break if they look like they need it.

My 24 year old has a great feed program, and I use PHT Products on him religiously....he has been barrel racing consistantly since he was 7, I just had the chiro over and she said he is 'perfect' as always and didn't need any adjusting. They don't make them like him anymore

i move him out in the roundpen a few days threw the week. i warm him up about 15-20 mnins before i run. i spray him down with green alochol and witch hazel after i cool him out
