Location: SW MO | Ed Wright Medium Shank with a 3 piece mouth piece... Goosetree Delight for sure- love that bit. Also have a WTP bit that I really like for my mare with a displaced pallet... Have tried some Sharin Hall lifter bits by Eliot that I love too. Anything with a 3 piece mouthpiece ;)
Edited to add I like my Kathy James bit too!

Location: Idaho | Ive got 11 Dave Elliots... and my favoite is my Spur Up 02 with the MCP19 mouth... that one is my go to bit. But I have anything from a nice loose ring snaffle to a couple lifter bits and then his common gag bits. Would love to add some different mouth piece too. |

| Josey Go Around Bit for horses that work great in snaffles and just need a bit more lift/whoa running the pattern.
Smooth Sweet Six is my go to slow work bit (with a german martingale or without).
"The First Barrel" by Molly Powell is my go to mule bit for any high powered, hard headed horses (loved my old pole gelding in this bit). |

| I used to love bits but over the past few years I basically always grab the reinsman easy 5 bit broken once in the middle. |

Location: MD | My favorite is the "5" bit by L & W it really shapes them up in the bridle but it's light because it has no shank. Mine has a curved twisted wire mouthpiece |

| My favorite bits are nothing fancy but the Sheri Cervi dogbone short shank lifter, Charmayne James Ryan bit and a tender touch. I wont sell any of those three as they seem to work really well on a lot of horses. |

Location: North Dakota | I'm so boring, my first go-to is my plain old single jointed full cheek snaffle. And of course I need to have a regular old sidepull around. I'm still experimenting with other bits and building a collection. I just love bits. |

| I purchased a Dave Elliott bit that is a replica to the Kathy James bit (Dave's version is called the Spur Up 12) and I use a 4 piece twisted mouthpiece. I got it in May and I LOVE that thing! I use it daily on multiple horses. It seems every horse I have tried it on loves it. I think it has a lot to do with the mouthpiece being a 4-piece. I love this idea of many breaks in the mouthpiece and I wish more bit makers would offer this.
This is not a picture of my bit, but one I pulled off google.

Location: Wearing a winter coat...... | I, too love my Dave Elliot bits. I have way too many bits but always go back to one of the Elliots. I swear they have a better feel. Maybe it just helps me not feel bad about what I paid for them....lol. |

| My horse loves the Dutton smooth 3 piece mouthpieces. He will open his mouth for them, but if I use a different bit, the next time I put his bridle on he will make me work to get his mouth open. He still works good, just is letting me know his preference I guess. |

Yes, yes you can come play!! I think getting a spur up 02 or 01 is a great first option for his bits, they are his most common sold bit. Then you can go from there with them I think. Also, if you decide to sell to buy a different one, facebook bit auction page they sell for 165-200$ on there, so you'll always get your money back! |

150-165 new. At least on the bits I have bought. It takes a really long time to get them. I have been waiting on one for about 5 months now. They sell for more on bit action because you don't have to wait. |

Location: Where the long tails flow, ND | I love my DE's, I have 3 of them and sold a good chunk of my bit collection and only seem to rotate between these 3. I have 2 of the 4 piece twised mouths on 2 different shanks, and one with a roller (longer shank) . I always forget the names of them all!
ETA- I love my curb straps from DE also!
