Location: NC | I have noticed my knees are starting to bother me some when riding, especially when trail riding for an extended amount of time. I have heard the twisted or slanted stirrups can help with knee or ankle pain. Which is better for knee pain?? Thanks |

Location: CTX | Haven't tried either, but I know if my stirrups are to short it will hurt my knee badly. Only 1 little hole can make a huge difference there. |

I agree shorter stirrups hurt worse, so I keep my stirrups a little on the longer side. |

Location: Washington | I have a pair of slanted, and a pair of the slanted and twisted ones....both make my bad knee happy. I really like the ones with the slanted with a twist though. |

Location: Oklahoma | Hate twisted, but love Walls slanted, and have several prs of Crooked stirrups. I got wooden leather covered slanted roping stirrups for hubby. I rode English in slanted for years .. They were slanted to the outside as well as angled down bottoms which western stirrups need to do . You can get those for Aussie saddles too. For just running I don't care but trails and daily riding I do. Had both ACL's done 30 yrs ago.

I second this!!! I always thought they were a bunch of phooey and awful expensive but I asked for a pair one year for Christmas and I was SO happy with them, my knee pain was helped a ton. So I asked for another pair the next year. |

Location: East Texas | We have had both on hubbys roping saddle. I hated the slanted, always felt off balance. We ordered a pair of Kroes Feet and really like them! Hubby has bad knees and so far everytime he has ridden, he gets off without sore knees!! |

| I've tried very hard to like both the twisted and slanted, and I hate them both. Have an old injury (broken leg right below my knee ~ very bad break)........the only stirrup I can use without morning after pain is the offset kind. |

Location: In the Hills of Texas | I've had knee surgery and need a full knee replacement. I had tried slanted, twisted and crooked and I would have to kick my feet out of my stirrups after a short time. My sister has RA and couldn't ride with stirrups. I got the Nettles HalfBreeds and I became pain free when I was riding. I sent a pair to my sister and asked me what she was suppose to do with them as she knew they weren't going to work. She was shocked how well they worked.
When you divide the cost over a year...they become cheap and pain relief and being able to ride is priceless.

They just look like plain wooden stirrups but I think it's the way the wood is laminated - whatever it is, they really DO help and it took YEARS to convince me to try them because of the price. |
