I sure hope so! I wish Katelyn could have made her summer run with Skye, I would bet 100% that she would be making the finals if she had.. I always felt Katelyn & Skye had a special connection, it was one you could see.
Congrats to whoever bought her(if true) and congrats to Jason and Charlie for the phenominal horses |

| Not a rumor. She's in the States and supposedly didn't pass the vet check. The Mcleod's did not buy her and she would be the highest selling barrel horse I've ever heard of if the figure is correct that I heard. |

Awesome mare but so sad if it's true that she didn't pass a vet check. Guess being a mare will help keep the price up. Good luck to the new owners. |

Apparently whatever she didnt pass for wasn't that big of a deal....or is maintained pretty easily. I know a lot of horses going down the road right now that wouldnt pass a vet check either...with all the drug-testing going on right now it must be pretty easily kept or they wouldn't have been able to run her at some of the rodeos they ran her at without risk of being tested. I know that there are some things that are easy to get around..but not for being legitimately crippled really. Its just gotten so strict. Being nervous to give a horse a little bit of BUTE after making a few runs in a row on hard/slick ground and then hauling 300 miles is silly to me. I dang sure take my fair share of Advil to get 3 hours down the road sometimes and I am not crippled by any means. Regardless...whatever it was is pretty minor or she would have broke down by now as hard as they hauled her and the ground that mare handled.

Sorry I didn't mean anything negative. When I think failed vet check I always think the worst, broken leg, dieing, etc. I never think about the simple things that vets like to nit pick at. I forget that with the drug testing you have to have a pretty amazing horse to be able to haul all those miles and not worry about giving them "something" to make them win. I am happy I haven't had to run against her!! She is a beast. |

| IF the sale is legit I wonder if she will still go with Michelle to the finals?
Latte's sale to me was not a true 800k sale from what I remember reading about it...I thought that the Walkers only had to buy the part they didn't already own.... some form of reimbursement.... the other party didn't get the entire 800k....gee whiz I don't really remember.................... |

I definitely wasn't getting on to you in any way. I know you didn't mean it that way. I just know how some people will percieve it...some people wont even think about buying a horse if they dont pass...even if the horse is still exceptional and not really hurt. I was more or less trying to make that really clear...that just because she didnt pass doesnt mean that she has been getting run while she has been in pain or anything like that...because some people really just dont know and might assume that and Michelle and her daughters are really sweet sweet people and I know take the best care possible of their ponies. No worries:) and I have run against her...and she kicked by butt by 3 tenths of a second with Kaitlyn on some crap ground at the bottom of the drag...she is a beast haha. |

That is hard to say...when it comes to this much money no one really talks about it..and they really shouldnt. But Latte was a little different...and I knew the number back then...but I dont remember and I wouldnt tell if I did haha...but not quite that much...he was more or less purchased for what the lady "was owed" and then some and gifted to Mary from what I understood. It was a sweet gesture no matter the amount...and definitely more than I have ever had in my bank account and might ever lol |
