| hi there im new to barrel horse world.
but i was wondering if anybody knows of good race horse or barrel horse Appaloosa stallions.
ive got a solid appy mare that is my barrel horse prospect. her dam is a barrel horse down in CA.
im having a hard time researching appaloosa stallions. im not going to breed her anytime soon as im focusing on putting some training on her right now and than later some competitions under her belt. she seems to like the barrels so so far so good.
im just looking out for future stud material.
he needs to be registered appaloosa and colored. since my mares solid. cant bred back to a aqha stud.
please let me know if you know of any stallions....:)
the only ones ive found that like were Troubled Memories and Geneo JJ but both are dead....:(

Location: Wherever the Army sends my husband | Liz Kincaid at TOP Appaloosas stands a really nice cutter that I love. His name is Gay Bars Silver. Although he is a cutter his foals have been shown in reining, roping and barrels. If I thought I could get a bay or sorrel blanket filly by him, I'd breed a mare to him in a heartbeat. But I know breeding is gamble much less for a specific color or gender. And I'm not going breed an appy without planning on keeping the foal as there's not much of a market there.Edited to fix my stupid autocorrect on my phone! When I type mare it changes it to made every stinkin time!

Location: MI | I'm riding a App right now for a client by Earthquake Ike. Ike is a cutter and this colt I'm riding is pure cutting horse bred, but he has taken to the barrels like a duck to water. Great minded, extremely athletic and quick footed, and LOUD colored. I have been calling him "Camo" as he has the most unique coloring. If your looking for a color producing athlete, I highly suggest looking into the Earthquake Ike horse. |

| thanks for the welcome everyone!!!
ive looked into bedonna stallion station. the stud seems nice but i havnet seen any foals that are performace age yet.
ive also looked into the Las Nueces River Ranch. love all there stallions especially ABSOLUTELY WICKED. all there stallions would mix nicely into my mares pedigree through her dams side.
ive also considered cowbred stallions too! and the Earthquake Ikes are my favorites!!!! my mares quite the cow pony as well.
can you tell me more on the dispositions of the Earthquake's? easy going? have thick legs?
thanks you.
id post a picture of my mare but i have no idea how.....=/

Location: MI | I'll try and take a pic tomorrow and post of Camo. Besides him, I had a gal haul in today with a Earthquake Ike and take a lesson. I seen a lot of similiarities in the 2. Both have a lot of energy, yet are very agreeable and trainable. Both tend to be a bit fine boned but have big healthy feet. Camo is a bay with big blanket, the gelding here today was a dun with a lacey blanket on hips. Camo is 14.1 if you say it fast, that gelding today was 15 hands. Both little longer in back, but necks tie in well and both very balanced. Neither have huge hips, but more than adequate to propel away from a barrel. Most important thing I can say about them is both seem to be very user friendly and try to please. |

| I'm not an appaloosa person in any way, but one of the QH stallions I like has an appaloosa son. Frenchmans Kimosabe is his name. He's only a 2 year old, but he's out of a nice appaloosa mare and a nice quarter horse stallion.

Location: The South | Never mind, I looked at their website and the one I'm thinking of isn't on there. So I'm either making it up in my head or they just don't have him anymore. Sorry I'm no help! |

| You can breed to Geneo JJ. We froze semen years ago and it is available internationally in limited quantity. Please call/text 785-219-1604 or find Rowe's Sunshine Ranch on FB! |

| We also have frozen semen from our other stallion. His name was SR Boy Howdy. He was a grandson of Easy Jet. The last son of Appaloosa Racing Hall of Fame stallion Easy We Go. I tried to attach our ad for both stallions but the attachment failed :(
