I see you have a new Prime Minister. Are you happy that a liberal is back in power?

Nope, there has always been an organization promoting Alberta to become its own country even from last night they have gained a ton of momentum.

It is going to be a scary 4 years, we will loose our guns, be taxed to death, and allow terrorists to become Canadian citizens, protect the terrorists we already have, and he blames Alberta for the recession.

If Alberta becomes a country that does the opposite of all those things, I will move there!

Absolutely not. I just hope Trudeau has the brains to appoint someone decent to the Agriculture Minister position, mainly because of the TPP. My dad is hoping for Ralph Goodale.

I think I had a coupke more drinks after hearing it was a Liberal majority. I am a die hard Conservative but if anything, I was hoping for a minority, not a majority.

Alberta still went blue/Conservative... aka Harperland.

Im not happy.

I never really understood the budget aspect of his campaign. He plans to rais taxes, Run a deficet...., but his supporters say there will be more money in the average persons pockets it just seems contiderctory to me. The wealthy and business he plans to tax will protect thier bottomline the best they can, which I worry will have many repercussions on the "middle class" he feels hes is protecting and growing.

Historicaly the liberals have not been what western Canada needs or wants, but it is what it is. I think THIS is what has most people over here so worked up and worried. That and his fathers shady deals, but he's not his father, i guess time will tell.

In all honesty I hated this election I couldent fact check anything, the debates were awful to watch. And for the love of god If i see one more post about his dam hair LOL. There was just so much nonsense spewed on social media Im still not sure what was acatualy truly said or made up lol. I like facts and numbers, and well thought articles that are as close to unbiased as possible.

Even though I am very much a conservative Im not selling out and moving south (no offence lol) I still love canada, maybe Ill need to adjust maybe not. But Im staying :-)

And on a positive note, Canada did not implode and stop existing over night, or today even, so it could always be worse .... at least hes canadian ...im sorry not funny.

I have a hard time talking politics but that how I feel, in short not happy, but not leaving my canada :-)

I have found when there isn't any thing to stand on when it comes to policies, stupid stuff is talked about. Since Trump didn't have any political background the news was about his hair and a few of his failed business's. (which I think I read he has had about 500) So now he is coming up with what he would do and the last thing was making a safe zone in Syria and keep all the refugees there. Most sense I've heard in a long time.

What I read about your guy is his crooked father and how great his hair is and how he liked being the party animal and would even fall down stairs to get attention. The article went o about how he doesn't have a clue about governing anything. Good Luck..We have one of those in office right now in the US and it hasn't worked out real well..LOL

This is so scary for the West!
Agriculture and Oilfield are in so much trouble! I am scared for our children's future to be honest.
I could care less about the weed legalization that everyone can't stop talking about. This is the least of our worries! Maybe it will help with this huge deficit we are about to get thrown into. We are going to be taxed to death. We won't be able to afford to work if that makes sense. I am so disgusted with Eastern Canada I can't even explain it.

No, not happy.

I was not shocked that the people voted Liberals in, (we have a history of going PC -->Lib--->PC,..etc.) but I am shocked/saddened, that people let him have a majority.
We could of kept the lil s*** in check with a minority government.
Even if you like him, common sense says with his lack of experience, he needs training wheels and water wings.
