Light Timers for Arena

Hey all!
Do any of you have experience with light timers? What experience do you all have with them? Specific brands? Do they have an override of some sort so we don't have to pay to use them, just for boarders? Also, what is a reasonable time/charge per 30m/1hr?
TIA!

I don't know any brands, but most of the arena's around here have them. There are a lot of over rides, just like any timer. Some have a button to turn them on, and they are set to go off at say 9 pm, others have a set time to leave on, like 1 hour.
I would google them. The arena locally has a Key system, and only members can turn them on and off, but they are supposed to be set to go off automatically. I don't have a key anymore so I'm not sure how they work now.
Another arena has a button to turn on, and to turn off, but they will turn off automatically if they are not manually turned off after a certain time.
The county always complains about them being expensive so I'm not sure what the charge should be. I get angry because they turn the baseball field lights on every single night for hours and hours, but the arena they grip for 1 night a week. Just my opinion.

Our local fairgrounds has two indoor arenas with light timers. thrity mins would be great. I think theirs is set on 15 and that is all the quarters it excepts. Which makes it super difficult, plus both timers are set in area that you have to get off your horse in order to put quarters in it and niether have good time displays, so you don't know how much time is left. On top of that it is super dangerous when you are riding a young horse or any horse and with NO warning they just shut off and the only light there is, is a little tiny bulb by the timer. I have almost had several wrecks. You pretty much have to bring someone just to put quarters in while you ride.
