| I have not had any rain yet. I am right in the middle 6-8 inch corridor but so far have only had a few sprinkles, all the big cells have gone around me. |

Location: East Texas | It has been awfully dry, and us in East Texas can handle 4-5 inches of rain over the weekend. |

Location: SE Louisiana | What you're getting now is just the precursor to saturate the ground. Patricia, the strongest hurricane in recorded history, is forecast to sweep across Mexico and rain on you all of next week. It's feeding the storm that's causing flooding there right now. This should end your drought. This storm went from a TS to a Cat-5 in less than 24 hours. Mexico is about to take a nasty hit.

Meanwhile, 10 minutes north of you, Bellville has had about 1 1/2 inches, and my power was out from 4am to 7 am last night. |

Location: Red Raiderland | We did not get a drop of rain until 4:45am and just before we got hit hard the power went out for about an hour! We have now gotten over 2.5" and it is still coming down steadily. We "were" in extreme drought conditions but I think this should help immensely. Oops, forgot to say that I'm about an hour east of Dallas.

Location: Gainesville, TX | We probably got 4-5 inches here just last night and its raining again hard today. Definitely going to need an ark. That being said, we have been really dry and need it. I just worry about flash flooding. |

Location: Stephenville, TX | I'm in the Bryan/College Station area and didn't mind being woke up to the sound of thunder early am. along with a good downpour. The local hay growers are going to be doing the happy dance to get one more much needed cutting. The grass was turning brown and we were getting cracks in the ground. Ditto on the flash flooding. Very dangerous.

I'm West of Ft. Worth and we've had a TON of rain.... Had to crawl under our shed last night and rescue 9 pups that were born in the hollowed out spot underneath...
Speaking of, anyone needs pups? I'll make you a great deal!! You take all 9 puppies for a small fee and I'll throw in two feral cats, an 8 pound guinea pig, two dissappearing milk goats, and a 10 pound bunny rabbit named Otter for FREE!!! No takers? Didn't think so..... Edited by IRunOnFaith 2015-10-23 2:19 PM

I was just checking up on this before lunch. We're making the final preparations just in case it does slam us for a few days. I hate getting an overload all at once but I will take what we can get. |
