Location: Missouri | I am not sure how to get the pictures resized in order to fit, but a friend of mine had 2 Marty Byrd barrel saddles, a Double J trophy saddle, 14" Mock Brothers barrel saddle, 12" youth Circle Y, corrector pad, ESP pads, and misc. tack stolen from Sedalia, MO. Please keep your eyes open. Contact Heather at 816-898-1458

| Great looking Marty Byrd saddles. Those are a tough loss but It's such a distictive saddle, if anyone sees it, you'll have a good shot at getting them back.

It is sickening to lose them as there is such a wait time to get another one. They are the best saddles, but yes if they come up for sale they are easy to spot as it seems no one ever sells a Marty Byrd saddle. |

Location: Missouri | There is quite a bit of misc. tack missing as well, but the main thing is the saddles as they are hard to replace. |

Can't tell you how many times someone has tried to buy one of my Marty Byrds. I haven't had to buy one from him in about 4 years. What is his wait time now? |

Location: Missouri | Want to sell one? I haven't asked in a while, but last time it was around 4 months for a plain one I believe. The thieves left one Marty Byrd barrel saddle and a Marty Byrd cutter, but took the trophy Double J that was right in front of them. |

Used to be the best kept secret in custom saddles. Guess he's not such a secret anymore. He has a cult following among cutters and ropers in OK and Texas. Many won't ride anything else. He hasn't taken over the barrel world yet. I got a barrel saddle from him when my daughter wanted to try one of my head horses on barrels. That horse just wouldn't work in any other saddle than a Marty Byrd. Go figure.

They are the best, there was quite a little collection of them up here in the barn. It took forever to find them all to purchase, now unfortunately somebody thought they needed them more than their owner. |

Unfortunately and more than likely, the thief could care less what "brand" of saddle they are......they will be at a sale or pawn shop soon......Next Monday (11/2) is the big monthly horse/tack sale in Kalona, Iowa.....I would send them a flyer! You may want to add a "contact number" here in your post.

Thank you I hadn't thought of Kalona. I edited the original post to include a number.

I have not, I will have her look into it. Mainly just posted on every FB page we could find for tack or related items and then of course BHW. Been scouring Craigslist too. |

| Did she at least have insurance on her saddles and tack? I know that doesn't make things ok, but I carry insurance on all my tack for reasons like this. In this day and age, people are awful and they don't care. They will do anything, except work for a living, to make a few bucks. It's so sad!! I certainly pray they catch whoever did this and she gets all her items back!! |
