Location: Texas | I am at a loss. I've been dating my bf since May... Christmas is coming up in not TOO long... I have no idea what to do. He has a good job, makes good money, doesn't NEED anything...and he manages an outdoors/ sporting goods store so anything i could do hunting/fishing/outdoorsy he already has access to and can get way cheaper than I could.
What do you do when you are in school and don't have a ton of cash and your SO has a stable job? Honestly, I think he would be upset if I spent a lot of money on him because he knows I live on a tight budget.

Location: Minnesota | You could maybe get him a gift card for him and a friend or two to go to an outdoor shooting course if he likes that. I don't know if they have those in your area but they're really fun. Any avid hunter/sportsman I would think would enjoy that. |

There's a gun range in his store he has access to for free :/ LOL
ETA_ i know you said outdoor, so I thought about that too.. but his parents live on 50 acres and they shoot out there for fun sometimes.
He's not SUPER outdoorsy.. he likes to do things in town too, is not "country" by any means. Definitely way less rural than my last bf.
He also likes to golf

Location: California | Does he wear a watch or anything? That used to be my go-to. I think some guys appreciate shaving type gifts or a nice cologne if he's into that sort of thing. It's easy and doesn't break the bank. Do you guys ever go out shopping or anything like that where you might see him look at things, but not buy it for himself? That's what I try to do with my SO... I try to see what he looks at online & things like that. I know what he will or won't buy for himself, it makes it a lot easier. |

you know I'm not sure about the watch.. he was looking at these golf watches with GPS and stuff you can program with whatever course you are on.. but they were super expensive and he was only looking because he gets a 50% discount on them.
We do shop sometimes and i know like his pant size and all that, and what brand he likes.. but he JUST bought new jeans. blah! and he just buys khakis from where he works.. same with work/golf shirts! ugh! |

Location: That part of Texas | Does he drink beer when he's playing golf? If so, then one of these would be totally cool because it will tuck in the back between the two golf bags and be out of the way, especially if he is riding with someone else in a tournament or just playing. The biggest gripe most golfers have with coolers is that they take up too much space in the cart and this is awesome in that it fits that many cans. I want one myself!

Location: bring on the heat, NV | How about something fun. Are there any paintball ranges? Lazer tag? Tickets to a game or concert? I have no clue what that cost. Or make a "evening together box". New movie, plush throw blanket, popcorn, snack things, etc... to corny maybe... I ll keep thinking. Does he have to pay a membership to use golf courses? |

I have this problem with my dad but he loves Golf, so what I do for him is get him stuff for that. For example one christmas I got him this net thing that he could hang in our garage and practice his swing into and I got him a new hat and a bag of these super cool soft material golf balls in a bright color that hit like a real ball with absolutely no distance so he could practice with his driver at home. I also got him a couple cups and pins (flags) and he made himself a tiny course in the yard so he could practice chipping, putting, etc.
He loved everything, it was somewhat creative, and it was CHEAP.
Stuff like that generally doesn't get much of a markdown in stores because the initial purchase price isn't much to begin with, and I know that with my dad he had never thought about using stuff like that but he was excited and it improved his game.
Another year I found these super old school wall signs featuring golf, hunting, etc. that were antiqued with raised letters etc. and gave them to him and he actually loved them! I know he did because i visited a few months later and he had taken time to actually hang them lol. Anyways I think more than anything even if you get him something he never ends up using he will be thrilled that you took the time to pay attention to his interests and went out and got him SOMETHING.

| I'm so addicted to Michael's crafts right now, lol. So you could make him an ornament, a special picture, anything that involves wood work, etc. You could also get cheap tickets to see a concert at a local bar or a comedian! |

I think there's a public course in Conroe that he goes to, and his brother's girlfriend is the event coordinator for one of the country clubs in College Station so they go there when he's up here. |
