Location: Lost in the swamps | Because she took that horse, drove the miles, took the countless hours on the road, caring for the horse , invested her money ,time away from her family and made that girls dream of that horse going to the nfr a reality for her memory and her family! That's why! Yes they could have chose any one, but they chose Vickie. And that in itself is deserving enough in my book! |

| I get what arion is saying and I agree with him. I am sure she will find a horse to run at the NFR. I hope she does after her hard work to get there, but I don't think she deserves it any more than any of the other girls that have had to find a horse at the last minute in years past. |

I hope Vicki gets some great offers on horses to run at NFR. she sure deserves that Let's call this a social experiment if you will but I must ask a question. Let me also preface this by saying that her story is emotional and to some inspiring I get that. But why does she "deserve" anything?
It's just that most people want to do something for such a heart wrenching situation. The family has been through the ultimate loss with the previous rider of Blaze. |

| Well that just sucks. All that work and hope to make the NFR only to not be able to run him there. :( |

True, and the story will go with her. Vickie will take the Memory of Rachel with her. It's so Sad that Blaze didn't get to run. He did get Vickie there. |

| Geez, I don't think anyone says she deserves it anymore than anyone else... everything has to be so twisted around anymore. Anyone who made it deserves to actually go, the OP was just wishing her well on finding a horse.
It really sucks to have your horse not be able to go, but I always love to watch the girls that have to jump on another horse at the last minute.. they might not always win, but you get to see how handy they really are, they always make it work, it's admirable. |

We know Movin will be available, it would be nice to see Movin at the NFR.
To my understanding, "Movin" has been sold and has a new home. |

Location: who knows? | Sorry Arion but I think your a jack @ss.............I think any of us would hope that if any of the NFR girls couldn't take their main mount, that someone would step up with an awesome horse for them to take to the Thomas and Mack.

Actually, most people do not want to offer their good horses for the NFR. I know girls who have struggled to find one to run when they only had 1 horse and it got hurt. I know I wouldn't offer my good horse if I had one. I wouldn't even offer my current horse and he's a 2D horse at best. That many runs on that ground (which is usually bad, but last year was an all time low). I would be too afraid they would come back hurt or make their last run in that arena. While I don't have actual numbers, just thinking back there is a dis-proportionately high number of horses that have made their last runs ever at the T&M than other arenas that I've run at or been to a lot. Hope she finds one soon though! |

Not yet -- plenty of interest but not yet and he's not sure he's going to sell.
There was a bug put in his ear about Vickie needing a mount-and the story behind why her journey is so special but he does not feel Movin is in the best shape right now and worries with the "out of shapeness" of her coupled with the horrible ground, just too much risk of injury.
I pray Vickie finds a horse that will help her make some noise in Vegas. Her story is just remarkable. |

I would think someone who owns many horses in the barrel horse business as far as breeding, training, & sales would like to get some of their bloodlines on the big stage as advertisement as long as the barrel racer and horse click and get some practice runs in before having to leave for Vegas. |

Thanks for sharing - I didn't want to say too much because I couldn't find my "source" back and didn't want to derail this thread away from Vicki :) |
