| I just spent a week in Montana hunting Elk and you people are either crazy or super tough. Either way I have a new level of respect for you northerners! Here are some photos of your beautiful state and the elk we were able to harvest.

Location: Where the buffalo roam | I think a lot of us would head south for the Winter if we could afford to, but for the "poor folk" that can't do that we just grit our teeth and hang in there! |

Location: Montana | All I can do at that statement is laugh, and laugh, and laugh. I think, just from observing, we're both crazy and tough, LOL. Now me, I'm just tough, ha-ha. But somehow we manage to survive...we put on layer after layer. Where did you get your elk? From the pics it looks like down by the Dillon area, but we have many landscapes like that in Montana. |

We were hunting near Livingston. Had a great time but it was about -12 degrees most mornings and probably even colder on the mountain. My brothers-in-law were all laughing at me because I had 10 layers of clothing on one day! lol |

My grandmother, who lived in North Dakota where is gets really cold, used to say, "it keeps the rif-raff out."
And what's wrong with being crazy and tough?

The Livingston are is very pretty too! Close to the Bridger Bowl, so it is really cold and snowy. The other morning I had at least 4 layers on to go shovel snow.
Ausranch: Yep, it keeps the rif-raf out...or in, LOL. |
