I think the flagger didn't think all 4 feet were out, but the replay looked like he should of gotten a time. |

| It was because the flagger said he knocked the steer down. If you knock a steer down, you must let the steer up and then re-throw. |

Location: The edge of no where | I want to go whop the flag man on the head. We watched it in slo - mo, flag man royally screwed up. Luke was pretty decent in the average and the crap call took him out. He's on my fantasy team and it's going to kill me not to have him in the average. Even Joe B said he got a bad call.

The flag man was Alan Jordan. His wife Jolee (formerly Lautaret) does the radio show with Steve Kenyon every night. |

Is this a different judge than flagged Luke out a few years ago in the 10th round? |

Location: Displaced Iowegian | Nevermind....I found a still pic of his point of contact....the steer was down on his knees when he took hold......Steer is considered knocked down if he is knocked to his knees in front, his hocks behind or in combination, before his body direction is changed or brought to a stop. The knockdown rule comes into play before he ever goes to the nose.......

It wasn't about the steers feet. He flagged him out before that. The judge said he knocked the steer down. In that situation the steer must be allowed back to his feet to then be thrown. Same rule as calf roping basically. I haven't seen it again or seen it in slow motion so I don't know for sure if Luke did in fact knock the steer down. It looked to me like the steer was down before Luke threw him which then caused the steer to have his body and legs kind of rolled up. I would have to look at it again to be sure. It may just have been a bad call. |

The knockdown rule comes into play before he ever goes to the nose....... I kind of thought he was down before he threw him which made it even more difficult to get the steer's legs all out going the same direction. The judge was waving him out before Luke even finished the run. Again, I would have to see it again to say I'm right, but it just kind of looked that way to me at quick glance. It would all depend on where the steer was when Luke made contact with him... which happened first......Luke's contact or steer down. I didn't know if Luke's response was just like the pro athletes who foul in a game, but try to act like they didn't. LOL Maybe he really thought the steer wasn't down.
