Location: North Dakota | Just curious if anyone knows why Sherri isn't riding Stingray. Is she hurt?
I hope she is okay! She is one of my favorites!!
Thanks! |

| I believe its because Stingray just wasn't clocking very well compared to the others. Running great patterns, yet was 14s, and a 14 isn't going to win much in Vegas (except last night, LOTS of knocked barrels and bad ground led to only the three 13s). |

I didn't see Stingray have any major troubles with the ground though, she looks like she runs the best pattern ever and just can't shut the clock off. I actually haven't noticed Sherry having any major issues with the ground this year. |

Location: North Dakota | I noticed that too. Great patterns- just wasn't clocking which is very unlike her! I hope everything is well with her and wish Sherri the best! I hope she can place and get a little money at least in the last few rounds! |

I think she is not firing as hard due to the ground, not necessarily stumbling or falling. Stingray had a bad fall there last year or maybe the year before. |

| My guess is that she doesn't see herself having a shot at it this year and is giving the new ride some experience at the mac. |

Yes I remember that, I think it was 2013, when she went on to win world. That makes sense. |

Stingray's bad fall at the 2nd was in 2012 in the 6th round. I believe they were sitting first in the average at the time, and that obviously took them out of it with Sherry coming off. |

| Stingray did extremely well the following year (2013) after the one where she fell, so I don't think that would be a huge cause for her to be safety-ing up this year. I did notice that last years NFR (2014) wasn't quite as successful as she has had in years past either. It's hard to say what is going on, she is a great horse though! Her and Louie sure deserve the award for most consistent!
I just really want Sherry to win a check this round! I think she would have last night if the horse didn't go as wide on the first, that ground looked sketchy, so I'm really hoping she pulls it off tonight! |

Location: Gainesville, TX | Stingray is not a spring chicken. She didn't clock super well last year though she was clean. She was running just as clean this year and just not clocking. I'm not saying this is why, as we can only surmise unless someone knows Sherri personally. I think the horse she's been riding belongs to Dena Kirkpatrick the announcers said too, so not her horse. I'm not sure that she is just riding him to give him experience since she doesn't own him. |

Location: South Central Florida | My wild guess on Sherri, first last year she was newly married and happy :) I kind of wish she had stayed on Stingray because she usually gets a little faster and about the time I thought she would clock, she changed horses. So I guessing she knows she is out of a shot at the title and is running more for fun. She has won everything. Also, I didn't think Stingray was very old, maybe wrong? I was thinking 10ish? Maybe not. |

Maybe not. Stingray is 13, which is prime age for a horse of her caliber. Rare Dillon is 16. My guess is she wasnt clocking and as a result Sherri probably just decided to give her some rest.

| I feel terrible for Sherry. She is such a great horse woman. I love love love Stingray and I hope she's alright. I also noticed towards the end last year she had quite clocking as nice. |
