Fallon posted on her Facebook page about the story behind her Mohawk helmet. Whether you agree with the fashion statement or not you would have to agree that the story is touching. If someone could post the link that would be great, I can figure it out.

I prefer Callie DuPerier's statement. She has the money to wear whatever she wants and instead protrays the look of a real cowgirl. She wears a hat she has had for years, has worn the same shirt for more then one perf, wears her hair in a braid and has no make up on. She is pure class in and out of the arena and it sure doesn't bother her when she doesn't win. She is her friends biggest cheerleader. She is what I would want my kids to admire.

Is it just me or am I seeing a load of vanity in Fallon's statements.  Am I misreading?

Best dressed from the past......Marlene Eddleman.  Absolutely loved her matching shirts and polos.

I don't see vanity. I think she sees herself as someone who has a lot of impact, especially on the youth in our sport. Judging by the number of her followers, I'd say that is justified.

I do have to say I love following her on Snap Chat. I never followed her until the NFR and she does post a lot of inspirational stuff. Her Ranch Dress'n store isn't exactly cheap, though. Ha

I didn't like her 2 years ago because I've heard bad stories about horses she's sold. I've since become a fan. She's popular and she's using it to spread a good message. I think she's badass.

Callie said she does those things because she is superstitious.... saw it the other night. I don't know her, but she seems sweet. EVeryone is different.

This isn't why she wore the mowhawk.  A letter was written to her by a gal that has fell off her horse several times and has to wear a helmet now or not ride. The lady wears a helmet like that because she didn't want something boring. She says she had been made fun of but when that happens she just thinks of Fallon and says if she can I can. She thanked Fallon for being brave enough to break tradition s d wear a helmet. Fallon wore the Mohawk in her honor

I saw that interview too. It was all about contestant superstitions. She said she even wears the braid on the same side each time.  lol  I gathered her look was more about her superstitions than her interest in fashion.

I saw that too. Glad she is staying true to herself and not thinking she has to glitz it up for the NFR. Just like Fallon dresses her way no matter what anybody thinks. They both are positive role models for girls and any barrel racer

I think there ought to be strict restrictions on women's attire at the NFR.
There ought to be a "Code" of some sort that restricts the wearing of certain attire. Women should look "professional".........right?
