This is probably irrelevant but valley vet emailed me that they were taking preorders for the Troxel helmets. They are $89.95

I got the same email from Valley Vet...........I think it is interesting that #1 they are taking preorders and #2 the helmets are pricey. I am glad that troxel is making helmets with different color schemes and designs. I am a helmet wearer and would like to buy one of the newer helmets but I do not want Fallon Taylor's name on it and I think the price should be better than $90.

Maybe Troxel is thinking the helmets will not sell well so they want to "feel" the market by taking pre-orders??

They are all 55 or 65 dollars on her site.

Valley vet upcharges on other things as well.... horse.com is where I order the majority of my stuff if I'm not buying custom or high end.

So nm... these are different ones than her new line.

Preorders are probably a marketing gimmick...

Anywho, while 90 is more than I'd pay, that's nothing compared to the GPA's and Charles Owen helmets english riders buy ($300 and up, folks) o.O

My CO is so comfortable too.  It's hotter than the hinges of hell in the summer time and nearly gives me a heat stroke, but it does fit so nice.  I also have an Ovation schooler that I bought as a test which I probably just need to sell.  It feels like it's about to pop off my head at any given moment.  The CO I have is the skull cap model in shiny silver.  Wish I had gotten something with a brim on it, but oh well.  It's my mirror ball helmet.  LOL

I was hoping to have more helmet options at the NFR, I only found the ones Ranch Dressn had brought and they weren't selling them.  I was able to try them on and they felt comfortable to me.  I definately want to get one...and I do love the color options Troxel has.  I know they said more are coming out in Feb it sounds like.  Any other input on helmets?
