Location: Wisconsin | Looking for a marketable cross on this mare... I know there is a proven cross on this bloodline out there, looking for something that will get this mare sold in foal. She is an older mare (1995 model) that is 16 and huge. Throws a lot of size and bone. This mare is by the same stud as Carley Richardsons "Doda Flit".
Here is her pedigree: http://www.allbreedpedigree.com/do+da+do+dash
any recommendations would be great! |

Location: Texas | Haven't I seen this mare on the FB page, Barrel Racing Breeders Magic Crosses page? I think you got some great advice there.
With her being an older mare, I'm not sure what would bring top dollar. I won't buy an old mare, no matter who she is bred to. |

| My farrier's wife owns Bouncy Beggar Boy so if you wanted something very close to Carly's horse I would consider him. Patty's sister is the breeder on Carly's horse. Bouncy Beggar Boy is the maternal grandfather of Carly's horse, I believe. Reasonable stud fee.

Location: North Dakota | A good friend of mine owns Reds Western Native he is an On The Money Red stud! In our area everyone that owns a horse out of him hangs on to them, it's hard to find one on the market! All of his babies are amazing! I suggest you breed to him and keep the baby!!!! His owner is amazing and really knows a good barrel horse!! Look him up online!! He's in Ruston Louisiana! Just my opinion but lots of horses on the market with the usual top 5 studs breeding! |

| With her being older, marketing her will be tough no matter what she's bred to. If she's safe in foal, most people are simply buying what is in utero. I'd go with something FF if you want to market her to barrel racers. You might need to breed her to something a little higher priced stud fee wise, and you still might take a loss. Most of the hot barrel stallions are already booked full.
I'd check into Shawnee Bug Leo. Those are hot. Maybe pick Amy's brain about a market for mares in foal to Firewater Finale. He'd be a nice cross on her. Or Ivory James. If you can't sell her outright and are determined tohave her gone, if sshe's in foal to IJ you can always put her in Heritage to sell in the fall and there might be a market there. |

Location: Wisconsin | This mare is big, strong, and very healthy, we dont have any doubts that she cant have a few more foals after this one... Plus shes broke and safe to ride! we arent looking to get a ton out of her obviously due to her age, but something that will get her sold based off of her bloodlines and what shes in foal to. Thanks all for the suggestions thus far! they have been noted. |

Location: Where I am happiest | If it was me I'd go to A Streak Of Fling. Anything of his is like gold right now and she's physically the right type of mare for him. On paper it also gives a sex balanced Streakin Six and I'd be all over that. |

Yes but not a ton I think. When he died they refunded the mares contracts as they didn't have enough to fill them I believe. I'm betting you'd need a really pretty penny and the right contacts to get some, if they would even sell it. |

| Frenchmans Guy is no longer breeding. I'd heard they were not offering frozen either. I don't know it that is true or not as I didn't verify it. |

| If you like Ivory James check out Best Advice. He is Corona Cartel and Bully Bullion. His foals are Just getting started in the barrel pen, but good lookin colts with marketable bloodlines. He is on FB and stands with Judge Cash, and FF eligible.

| I am in the same situation on an older mare I really need to sell. She is 20. Has 1-d foals running, she is bred to my stallion for 2016 foal....but really need to bred her to something that I can get the most bang for my buck, since I acutally took her on a trade and have around $4,500 in her. Good Luck...if you find that stallion let me know...!!!! |
