Veteran Posts: 170 Location: up to my waist in you know what	After over 4 years on a double lung transplant list my mother in law is getting her transplant right now. Her husband died 4 years ago, my mother and stepdad died earlier this year. We need lots of good vibes and any prayers that can be spared right now because we can not deal with anymore tragedy. Sunday is my mother in law's birthday so we are hoping that her being able to breathe is a amazing early birthday and Christmas present. Edited by cowpooh02 2015-12-20 10:09 AM

Veteran Posts: 170 Location: up to my waist in you know what	Thank y'all so much for the prayers. The transplant went wonderfully and was completed around 10:30 Friday night. The surgeon came out and updated us at midnight. Surgeon said everything went perfect and the lungs were working great. Today is her birthday and they are starting to wean her off the ventilator. They have her off her sedation meds but have her on lots of pain meds which are keeping her pretty well knocked out. She is breathing on her own through the vent but gets tired quickly and her heart rate will go up so they let the vent breathe for her again to relax. They are hoping by the end of the day they will be ready to take the tube out. Not completely out of the woods but so far so good!! Thank y'all for the good vibes!!
