Is there a way to figure out your horses gullet measurements? Im trying to find a sadlle to fit my boy. Full quarter horse bars are way to wide and semi bars are to wide as well. At least I think there too wide??... The saddle sits right on his withers I can't fit any fingers on the front of the saddle. Any ideas/ input would be helpful!

The bars have nothing to do with how the saddle fits in the front, the bars are supposed to lay flat with no pressure points on their back.

You need to look at gullet width which is different then the bars.

It sounds like you are not familiar with saddle fit, I suggest going to a saddle maker/shop and have your horse properly fitted and get them to teach you the basics, most of it you need to learn hands on not over the internet

Go to www.sadddlemakers.org/id193.htm#rigging It is excellent in helping see just how all the terms work.  You should still try a lot of saddles.  The Saddle site will help.
