With God all things are possible

| If you listen and watch the day to day happenings around the world, it would be quite easy to conclude that the world is spinning out of control. It certainly feels out of our control, doesn't it? Because if we were in control the world, things were be different, wouldn't they?
But since we are not in control, we often find ourselves pinning over the world events to such a degree that we appear to have forgotten a central idea presented in Scripture: GOD IS IN CONTROL.
Paul, in his letter to the Romans, taught that we are subject to our governments. He wrote that all in authority(even those with whom we disagree) are in power because God placed them there Romans 13
The book of Proverbs teaches that men make plans, but God will ultimately direct their steps Proverbs 16:9. One chapter goes as far as to say that you can roll the dice; but God Himself will determine the numbers that land Proverbs 16:33
It gives me a sense of confidence to know God is in control of the details of the world and more specifically, my life. Paul said it best: God is working all things according to His own will and purpose. So do not be shaken by events and circumstances! God is in control of it all and has promised to work it all for good.
For is is WITH God all things are possible
Father God, guide me today to do all things that bring glory and honor to You AMEN
