She was fifth. Big field for a bunch of three year olds. I always hate to see that.
Comical when one of the commentators remarked about Chrome being "studdy" and sometimes hard to handle. Called him a "mean SOB". It was a beautiful race.

He recovered from his injury well, so they decided to run him in 2016 and see how he does, based on his win, he will stay racing. He really didn't win enough to be a stud yet, not with AP retiring this year. |

| CC's pedigree isn't as royal as most studs so I think they are continuing to run him to show people he wasn't just the best over a mediocre three year old crop. He has already won more money than many horses retired to stud and is now the leading California bred having passed Tiznow, who won the Breeders' Cup twice. |

I had a friend who worked on the track for a while and she said the same thing! I guess that's why no one crawls in his stall to snuggle him like they did to American Pharoah |

I just had to watch it...I'd have been scared (as a jockey) what was gonna happen with the cinch slipping so far back. Good job both horse and jockey did though! |

I just now got to watch the race. Wowzers on the saddle slipping. Great composure by horse and rider both. His trainer was over there, so one can only assume it was him, but sometime things happen. Stunning race for being wide his entire trip. |

I know what you mean, one time I tightened up my mare as usual, but with a different saddle, to do some slow work on the barrels. I was going around one of the barrels (don't remember which one) at a trot or a lope and the saddle just went sideways. I'm so glad my mare is so smart and patient or that could have been a heck of a mess. |
