Location: Opelousas, LA | I will hunt it down on youtube tomorrow but to be honest, the fact that he has a Syrian refugee and representatives from CAIR as his guests, speaks volumes to me. Sorry if it makes me a closed minded, prejudiced redneck, but I don't want 100,000 muslim refugees to be shipped here for our tax dollars to support. Look what is happening in Europe for Petes sake, you have got to be freaking kidding me, we don't need that crap here!

Seriously ? H ave you considered actually listening? Β A closed mind is a lost soul.
I think I am going to listen. I would like to know how he thinks he can just ignore the constitution which we have been using for the past 240 years. I thought he might have some kind of explanation. |

| You know how you can tell when Obama is lying? His lips are moving.
I have an open mind. I still won't listen to him. He's a lying, cheating,,manipulating piece of crap that hates America. He has indoctrinated people and it blows my mind how great the left thinks he is.
I was surprised that he acknowledged his failure to bring the parties together and mentioned better Presidents like Lincoln and Roosevelt who probably could have done it. That was a shocker.

I will read transcripts later. I can't stand the sound of his voice. I tried to watch Nikki Haley after, but I got so fascinated by the way she grits her teeth when speaking, I have no idea what she said. I'm not good at remembering what I hear anyway. |

| Nikki Haley's speech was informative, to the point and very well written. If you did not hear it, find it and listen to it.
Obama's speech was very disjointed. One thing he did admit was things in the nation were not in the best shape and he has added to the problem. I guess he just slipped that in to please some. The listeners that television showed all looked very bored. I know I was. |

Yep, and when we let all these refugees in our country they will out breed us 8-1 and our government will pay them to do it. It is a fact that 94% of middle eastern immigrants in this country are still on government assistance 12 years after arriving here. Between them and all the people that breed and vote for a living, we are pretty much screwed. |

Location: Kansas | Obama is determined to bring Syrian refugees here by the hundreds of thousands. Do you know what happened on New Year's Eve in Europe. Dozens of Arab and North African men attacked young women native to their own countries, Germany, Sweden, Norway, Finland. These Muslim men were invited as refugees and now they're becoming dangerous. The same would happen here and in fact already is. They have zero respect for women.

| It has been said that a picture is worth a thousand words. The looks on the faces of the joint chiefs of staff were very telling as the President was touting that this country is stronger than it's ever been. |

Common Sense and then some
Location: So. California | I believe that America is a great country. I've had the good fortune to travel quite a bit, and there is nothing like coming home to the good ole USA! I am so grateful to be an American, even with our messed up politics, I wouldn't choose to live anywhere else.
I only listened to a small portion of the SOTU address and the rebuttle. Nikki Haley's rebuttle was interesting and bears listening to again. Maybe Congress should get off their collective asses and start actually working for the people the elected them. What a novel concept!
I haven't liked a president in a several decades, that is the sad truth. There is always that hope when they are elected, then they fall so short of expectations... This election cycle, I like one candidate (Rubio). I don't know enough about him, or am convinced enough, to jump on his bandwagon, yet.
As for Trump, he will be either suprisingly great or a complete and utter disaster. Am I willing to flip that coin? Though... on second thought, maybe that is what this country needs, someone who is so unpredictable that you have no idea which direction he will lead and is crazy enough to shake up the system and move us forward.

Similar musings were made in regards to Ronald Reagan before He was elected POTUS................. |
