Location: Texas | Has anyone seen this? On February 10 Lindsay Sears will match race Kelly Kaminski for a spot in the American. Two horses each, two runs each.
This will be fun to watch.
Who is your pick?
I'm rooting for Kelly on this one! |

| Looks like there will be other great matches on that day. I knew about Cody Ohl vs. Fred Whitfield, but not the others. I hope they add roughstock, but so far I don't see it. Originally it was just the match between Cody and Fred. I found on the American Facebook page that the matches will take place on Feb. 10, but will air on RFD-TV on Feb. 14.
Please note the Gold Buckle Matches start at 6:30 PM CT in San Antonio on Feb. 10 for the LIVE performance. The matches will air on RFD-TV on the 14th. Get tickets here: http://sarosepalace.com/tickets.html...GOLD BUCKLE MATCHES: http://www.rfdtv.com/story/30954776/gold-buckle-matches-2016

I think it will be fun to watch! The team roping is a pretty cool format.
I'm pulling for Kelly. |

Location: Texas | I'm an interview Kelly said she didn't know what she did s riding yet. Lindsay said she will be riding something of her own and it has crossed her mind to bring out Martha. Although Martha is in shape she said she didn't know if she could have her in competition shape. And she is considering whether Mo can run 2 runs back to back. |

| Kelly herself has been on a 6 week hiatus for a health reason, she was just released last week to ride. Hope Kelly does great! They live a few miles from me, Kenna has trained a wicked fast little mare, Ruby, but I don't know if she is seasoned enough for this opportunity. |

I agree. Kenna's little mare is really nice. And wouldn't it be nice to see Martha making another run? This is going to be good watching. |

It shouldn't effect the qualifier... whoever wins this will get a ticket to the American and can skip the qualifiers, or that was my understanding.
Honestly, I think they are veering away from what they started originally. Top 10 in the year end competing against the top 10 from the qualifiers. They need to stick with the original format and stop giving away all these spots based on past history. But it's not my organization, so I guess they can do whatever they want, lol.

I thought it said that whoever doesn't win these Gold Buckle Match races gets an entry into the semi's.
So what I'm wondering is, if Lindsay wins the match, she gets an entry to the American with 1 horse. Since she has Moe and Hemi already qualified to the semi's, can she enter a different horse in the American and still try to get Moe and Hemi through the qualifier and potentially have three horses at the American? Or maybe if she wins the match, she can still take 1 of the 2 to the semi's and get 2 horses into the American?
OR if she loses the match race, does she get to have a third horse in the semi's?
Since this seems to be all thrown together, they probably haven't thought out the rules this far
I sure hope she decides to run Martha. Even not in competition shape, Martha can probably still outrun most. |

Location: The Great Northwest | I know Lindsey Sears would want Martha in shape for a couple of competition runs. They can hurt them selves if not in shape especially the caliber Martha is. |

Hence the problem with the All American. They change rules like people change their underwear and the ERA is following into their footsteps. JMHO |

Location: The Great Northwest | I'm really surprised RFD-TV are allowing Lindsey to run a match race to possibly qualify again? I hope the rules can get firmed-up on The American. |
