Location: Riding Crackhead. | I've been going every year for about 6 or 7 years. Connie has become a great friend and has helped me so much. If anyone was at a clinic with over crowding that's the fault of the producer not Connie. She's got a lot of great drills that I use at home. Her prices are reasonable compared to other clinics I've gone too and I get more bang for my buck. |

Same here. I wasn't too impressed and wouldn't go back to one. |

Location: In The Snow, AZ | I went to one this past summer and would do it again. She definitely has a different style than I'm used to. But it seemed to help my mare and I to stand up better in our turns. We didn't have a huge group. So we got a lot of one-on-one attention when needed. The whole two days was GO GO GO. I feel like I learned to trust my mare more and learned I can push her harder without her mind exploding. The only bad was it rained both days and was in the 40s. And we still had to ride. Lol. I hate the cold.
I definitely enjoyed it. Learned a lot. Gained better understanding and control of my horse. Would do it again. But I also think it depends on what you're looking to get out of a clinic. It seemed like a very simplified, getting down to the basics sort of thing. |

Location: Savannah, Tennessee | I went to one last summer and didn't feel like it was worth the money. I already was lessoning with a trainer that learned from Connie and uses the squares so it wasn't anything new.. However, I do like the drills and if I didn't already know them maybe I would feel like I learned more. I just feel like my local trainer is a better teacher, meaning the way she explained and showed things and it was easier to learn the same thing from her than Connie or Tammy. Tammy, Connies assistant did a lot of the teaching and she left me more confused than anything else, I never did figure out what she wanted me to do most of the time.

Location: Oklahoma | I went in 2004 and felt it was well worth my time and money. I'd had a problem with my good horse of hitting barrels to win it everywhere I went. I went to her clinic in desperation and she fixed my problem. I won the clinic jackpot by quite a few tenths in a TINY little trap pen with my former barrel crasher, so I was elated. He later went on to win me a lot, so I felt her clinic helped me a lot. |

Location: Beautiful Pacific Northwest | I went a few years ago & I LOVED her clinic. I got a lot out of it but you need to step up & don't be bashful. I also learned a lot just from watching the other participants there. Not sure how they are now that she has Tammy helping her but I would think you would learn something new & will use it either on your horse now or on a future one.?. Never know.... |

| Thanks everyone ! Loving all the feed back ! I have two that tend to drop shoulders .. So I'm hoping to learn to stand them up going into the turn ! I can adjust my style too as long as it's helping my horse , so not too worried about that ! |

Location: South Dakota | When I went to my first Connie Combs clinic quite a few years ago it was the first time I'd heard of the "square style" It seemed like everyone else was teaching the flexing around the barrels. I like the more square approach and thought it was a very good clinic. |

| I have mixed feelings about it. I loved the individual one on one attention she gave everyone and I did learn quite a bit from the square style and the drills. BUT she did try and get quite a few people to buy her stabilizer bit and a few other things she sold... She seemed kind of pushy about that and I didn't like that aspect. |

I've never seen her push any of her products. There have been gals at the clinic that were distributors and they pushed her products but never Connie. I've seen her recommend other peoples bits more than her own. |

Location: IA | Tammy doesn't come to every clinic, and is planning a pretty aggressive compoetition schedule so unless the clinic host requests her, she likely won't be there. So much of learning is ATTITUDE. And a big part of that is being able to learn from different people with different communication styles, and keep working until you understand them. The great thing about this sport/industry is that there are so many different ways to train, coach, run, and win. There are so many successful people--some due to great horses, some due to great ability, some in their skills to overcome challenges. You have to find the style that works best for yourself and your horse. Good luck, and the best piece of advice I can give you is try to learn something from everyone--but make sure that it makes sense to you so you can use it!! |

I agree with this. It might not be the *best* clinic you go to, but there is certainly something to be learned from everyone and at least *one thing* you can take away from each clinic or clinician. Heck, some of the best clinics I have been a part of are George Morris clinics and I haven't ridden hunters or jumpers for years. The principles of what they are saying is what you can learn from. |

| If you go to her web page there are some of the exercises on there. It also shows the course she uses for the drills.
